Gen Z invades Meme of the Week™ and the boys aren’t really sure what to make of the prototypical Gen Z douchebag with the dangly earrings and jhericurl-ish hair, but man does it make for good internet content. In our professional opinions, we suspect that this meme format will have very long legs.

We have the last couple bottles of Merf’s hot sauce to try this week and their streak continues with two winning sauces. Someone is actually nice to Matt, Bill explains why the Depp/Heard trial is akin to Tiger King, and Stone Takes Snaps. On the 76th episode of Ready Set Revue we get into the first half of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus and Top Gun: Marverick. First off, Obi-Wan has a lot of hype associated with it and the three different groups of Star Wars fans all have their own expectations. The prequel fans want lightsaber battles, the OG trilogy fans want OG trilogy shit, and the sequel trilogy fans can just fuck right off because the sequel trilogy sucks ass. So far, Obi-Wan is none of that. And that’s a good thing. We talk about all of the easter eggs and the theories leading into the second half of the series.

Plus, we saw Top Gun: Maverick last weekend over Memorial Day because, ‘Murica. It was everything that you wanted it to be. Cheesy. Over-the-top. Deus ex machina. Explosions. Fighter jets. Shirtless beach sports scenes. Mega nostalgia. It was perfect in every way imaginable. Go watch it. Get a boner while you do.

The boys hit the streets on this week’s episode of Talking Tacos! That’s right, the weather fucked this week and we ate outside for the first time in 2022. Spring is really here and summer is right around the fucking corner. It’s about time. True to street eating form, we encountered several friends passing by the table and we left it all in. We get uncomfortably deep into what the anatomy of live inanimate objects look like. No idea what we’re talking about? Ever watch a Disney movie where a normally inanimate object is a fucking living being, like a chair with a sassy personality? What does their fucking skeletal structure look like? Do they have skeletons? Or organs? Freaky shit, man. We also make fun of crypto bro tears and define what it is to take a selfie, and why we should probably all stop.

The newest episode of Zero Attention Span includes a bottle of prosecco, a spill, and the return of friend-of-the-show Taylor. This tumultuous trio has a lot to cover and true to form they bounce around about 18 different topics including Gemini season, the cost of female beauty maintenance, and how to be a sugar baby - just to name a few. They also talk about the farewell to Kim Kardashian’s ass, the difference between Marie and Mary (bet you didn’t think you’d have to discuss that) and they finally crack the mystery of who writes a birth certificate at a hospital. Yea...we’re all over the place in this one. Let’s make some content.

On the landmark 75th episode of Ready Set Revue, we talk about the recently concluded series on Disney Plus, Moon Knight. Like WandaVision, Moon Knight takes a total left turn from the “MCU formula” and gives us a show that is entirely unique in terms of its characters, story, and effects. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of action still and a few deep cut surprises in the form of new heroes. We won’t spoil it here, but it’s spoiled in the episode itself. And honestly, if you’ve ever listened to a single episode of Ready Set Revue, you should expect spoilers. For the fans. By the Fans. Matt also drops a batshit theory tying the 90’s X-Men cartoon show to the current 616 MCU. Tune in, True Revuers!

In episode 71 the boys celebrate Doctor Dave’s birthday by listening to him talk about the Big Lebowski for 38 uninterrupted minutes. His thesis, as it were, is that Donnie’s death (24-year old spoiler alert) is the saddest and most pathetic death in cinema history. He’s got a point. We also provide an extensive review of two sauces from Merf’s, based in Colorado; the Electric Lime and Peaches and Scream. Merf, if you’re listening, I can’t find your shit on Instagram so tag yourself! We also talk about KISS coffins, planting a tree from yourself when you’re dead, and just death in general for some reason. But it all comes full circle when we speculate on reincarnation as Scarlett Johannson’s bicycle seat. But it’s like…funny and stuff. Death and tacos! Tune in you bastards

Episode 70 is the lost episode of Talking Tacos; lost from last week. See, Matt is a dope thought he deleted the episode before editing and posting. Turns out he’s actually a genius and had it backed up. And it’s a good thing too because last week’s episode was tight. We get into the first few weeks of Formula 1’s 2022 season, Amber Heard poop memes, Amazon future shopping, and of course Roe v Wade. In a Talking Tacos first, we have one of our regular fans bring us a bottle of hot sauce! It was awesome and we got to try it with them. In another Talking Tacos first, Alejandra tried a hot sauce with us also. It was a hell of a week!

Zero Attention Span is back with even less of an attention span. On the fifth episode of the podcast, Jackie and Richie educate you on the legal system with an expert analysis of the ongoing Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial.

On episode 74 of Ready Set Revue we finally get to take our trip to the multiverse! It’s open weekend for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and man is this movie mad in all the right ways. It becomes amazingly obvious from the first 20 minutes of this movie that it is a Sam Raimi flick through and through; all the way from the classic evil cam angles right down to the gratuitous Bruce Campbell cameo. Whoever said that Marvel doesn’t allow directors to do their own thing in the MCU movies needs to shut up and see this movie. Speaking of cameos, there are some fucking great ones here. We won’t spoil it in the post, you’ll have to listen to the episode for that which is FULL of spoilers. Raimi brings his unique style to this movie and introduces horror and elements of gore for the first time in the MCU while making sure that the characters are treated right and against the backdrop of a compelling story. A must see installment in the MCU.

On episode 69 (nice) of Talking Tacos, the boys explain hyper comedy. And by the boys, we mostly mean Doctor Dave because he basically wrote a research paper on it for this episode. Did you know that you can build up immunity jokes? That’s why the same jokes repeated over and over become exceedingly unfunny. Makes sense. Did you also know that there are recorded instances of people literally dying of laughter? Funny shit, amirite?Anyway, we drop a lot of comedy knowledge on you in this episode, so prepare to learn.

Since it’s a backlog episode from two weeks ago, we talk about Elon Musk buying Twitter because since it’s been a week nobody cares about that anymore. Outrage has moved on.
