This week on Talking Tacos the boys have a heated debate over the terminology surrounding sauce and gravy. Of course this specifically refers to Italian families and whether they call their big pot of cooked tomatoes and meat that they make on Sunday sauce or gravy. For the record, it’s obviously fucking called sauce and you’re just plain wrong and possibly stupid if you call it gravy.

Matt skips a work dinner to come to tacos. Bill is a refugee. Doctor Dave spills booze (again). The boys revue a new sauce, well new to us, from our friends at Poor Devil Pepper Co and we finish almost the entire bottle. It was a fire sauce, literally and figuratively. We have an absolutely ridiculous discussion about some dickhead named Yung Gravy putting his baster in Addison Rae’s mom because, celebrities and a much more spirited discussion on the “my team” versus “the team” mentality of professional sports fandom.

In meme news, the four horsemen of the mansplaining meme are finally complete with the first ever womansplaining meme, and it’s glorious. The boys get held up by a bunch of Karen’s with absolutely zero restaurant etiquette, so of course we explain what not to do to anyone who will listen. Fantasy football season is almost upon us and Matt still has no fucking clue what a Taxi Squad is. Chris gets ordained and Bill reminisces on his high school, yes high school, bar. We trash hotel rooms and figure out how much we all sweat. Just peak dinner table conversation for the boys.

On episode 82 of Talking Tacos the boys get narced on. Fucking Todd gets on our cases for having sidewalk beers and we react on the pod. Honestly, we thought he was some sort of manager, but it seems that nobody in the restaurant actually knows who Todd is, or what his real stupid name actually is. Jeff, we think. There is a LOT of conversation this week. The boys are in rare form. We start with a hot sauce review from a true Asbury Park local, the Mazu Piri Piri sauce. We talk about late night NYC eats and late night eats in general and reminisce on bachelor parties of marriage’s past, specifically Chris’ Herculean effort to get grills working in Canada. Bill pitches the Lou Taylor Pucci memoirs purely so that Lou can remember the antics he gets himself into. We all have a story about some guy named “Jeff”, including the shithead that narced on us earlier in the evening. There is some heavy conversation about the decline of the traditional meme, the influence of Tik Tok on Instagram, and the dank underbelly of the meme community, where we’re all migrating to. Alejandra regales us with stories from her Bad Bunny trip to Miami. This is a great fucking week, so grab some tequila (that’s actually good) and pull up.

This week on Talking Tacos, it’s T-shirt time. The boys go DEEP in t-shirt conversation from buying and storing strategy, to wear rotation, to top 5. Doctor Dave gives a love letter to the absent Bill. We also spend about half of the episode giving you all of the details on the Revue Podcast Network’s FIRST official sponsor, 3BR Distillery in Keyport, NJ. Doctor Dave took his maiden trip to 3BR and was gushing. For the first time ever the boys get seriously rained on while sitting outside and have to rush inside to finish the podcast. On episode 80 of Talking Tacos the boys try Matt’s hot sauce. And no, that’s not a sexual inuendo, Matt took a stab at making his own hot sauce and it was actually good. A pleasant surprise to be sure. We also bring in some movie talk because Ezra Miller has completely lost his mind and it’s reverberating through Warner Brothers with the cancellation of Batgirl, a movie that was very close to complete. It’s been a while since we’ve talked Formula 1, but silly season is in full effect with fake contract tweets and controversy for potential new F1 driver, Oscar Piastri. Bill spreads wild flower seeds. And Loteria’s soundtrack this week is SLAMMING. It’s just the original three amigos this week as Chris is on vacation. This franchise is so big and so ridiculous that we needed TWO special guests! Returning from our Rotten Tomatoes Fantasy League, Parker Smith and first-time special guest Christina. You all know what Jurassic Park is about, as the franchise has made a recent comeback with the new Jurassic World trilogy which IS canon. You know what’s less canon but maybe still canon? The Roger Corman series, Carnosaur. With the help of our two special guests, who legitimately like the Jurassic Park movies, we go deep into the lore of the breeding of Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs, the corporate cover-ups, the military applications, Ian Malcom’s true motives, Tim’s stupidity, and answer the most burning question…does Dennis Neddry survive? Oh, and Carnosaur and humans giving birth to chicken-based dino, um, things. Come take this wild ride in our yellow Jeep Wranglers with the tops down.

On episode 79 of Ready Set Revue we gush and discuss the revelations from Hall H of 2022’s San Diego Comic Con. As expected, Marvel unleashed a carefully crafted slate of movies and TV shows, some with trailers, to be released over the next few years. Most of the movies and shows were considered MCU canon, but there were a few standalone exceptions like the revival of the 90’s X-Men cartoon show, affectionately titled X-Men ‘97. We break it all down for you with a heaping dose of theory. As expected, DC came with little for Hall H, but that’s primarily because they have two big movies that they are afraid to release because of Ezra Miller’s real-life insanity. As of the posting of this episode Batgirl has already been permanently shelved. When we recorded this episode a couple of days prior to that we speculated that something like that may happen. Once again, Ready Set Revue has predicted the future. We also get into some great Hall H content like the new Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones shows, John Wick 4, and Dragonball Super. Special guest Ed of Canon Fodder fame joins us for a marathon episode.

This meme is BARELY a meme because it doesn’t really meet the Talking Tacos definition of a meme and, most importantly, they’re not funny. Bill assigns us all Seinfeld characters, we sample the Smokeshifter from Poor Devil Pepper Co, and lament the end of the Choco Taco. Plus, we talk about the difference between artists’ performances on studio albums versus live concerts and how ugly people make the best music. On episode 9 of Zero Attention Span Jackie and Richie talk about…goat dialects? That shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point. They also get into the ridiculousness of recent Tik Tok trends, filling up your gas outside of New Jersey, Jersey Shore (the tv show!), and the latest on Will Smith’s slap. There are also some real life parking wars going on outside of the apartment, so of course some crazy parking stories are traded. Special guest, Mel, returns.

This week on Talking Tacos the boys go to Greyfox. About half of the Revue Podcast Network was away on our annual pilgrimage to East Durham, NY the bluegrass music festival, Greyfox. It was our first time back since 2019 for obvious reasons that I will not mention here so Zuckerberg doesn’t flag us for saying naughty words or whatever. Dipshit.
