From the above verse, Muslims need to increase their knowledge, and science and technology are part of knowledge. Thus, social media should be embraced by all Muslims as a product of knowledge, utilize it as best, and use it wisely.

The most praiseworthy station in the sight of Allah, the highest quality that was manifested in the Prophet(PBUH) was the quality of IHSAN, the quality of Excellence. Taqwa is the stepping stone to IHSAN.

Allah loves when one of you is given a task, that he or she does it in the most excellent manner.

Imagine standing in front of Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment and having Him tell you all the things that you did that He LOVED. Imagine how you would feel.

We are given just a few moments in this dunya. Each breath is a priceless jewel and when it passes it never returns...make this moment, this breath, this heart beat one that resounds with ihsan (Excellence)!

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,

“Taking omens is shirk; taking omens is shirk. He said it three times. Every one of us has some (superstition), but Allah removes it by the trust (in Him).” (Sunan Abi Dawood)

He also said, “A person who derived bad luck from something and refrained from doing what he intended to do, he has committed shirk. The companions asked him what would be its expiation; the Prophet replied, “He should say,

‘ O Allah, there is no portent other than Your portent, no goodness other than Your goodness, and none worthy of worship other than You.’”(Musnad Ahmed)

Being Muslim, we should have full faith and trust in Allah and believe from our heart that it is only Allah who has power over us

یہ اس وقت کا واقعہ ہے جب روئے زمین پر انسانی زندگی ابتدائی حالت میں تھی اور حضرت حواء کے بطن سے ایک لڑکا اور ایک لڑکی پیدا ہوتے تھے۔ ایک ساتھ پیدا ہونے والے لڑکے اور لڑکی کا نکاح دوسری مرتبہ پیدا ہونے والے لڑکے اور لڑکی کے ساتھ کر دیا جاتا تھا۔ ہابیل اور قابیل یہ دونوں حضرت آدم علیہ السلام کے بیٹے ہیں۔جب یہ جوان ہوئے تو دستور کے مطابق حضرت آدم علیہ السلام نے قابیل کا نکاح غازہ کے ساتھ جو ہابیل کے ساتھ پیدا ہوئی تھی کرنا چاہا تو قابیل اس بات پر رضامند نہیں ہوا کیونکہ اقلیما ، غازہ کے مقابلے میں زیادہ خوبصورت تھی۔جو قابیل کے ساتھ پیدا ہوئی تھی۔   

 المائدة‎ آیہ30

فَطَوَّعَتۡ لَہٗ نَفۡسُہٗ قَتۡلَ اَخِیۡہِ فَقَتَلَہٗ فَاَصۡبَحَ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِیۡنَ﴿۳۰﴾

۳۰۔چنانچہ اس کے نفس نے اس کے بھائی کے قتل کی ترغیب دی تو اسے قتل کر ہی دیا، پس وہ خسارہ اٹھانے والوں میں (شامل) ہو گیا۔

The First Crime on Earth

Allah the Almighty says:

{And (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him» recite to them (the Jews) the story of the two sons of Adam (Habil and Qabil) in truth; when each offered a sacrifice (to Allah), it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: "I will surely kill you." The former said: "Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)." "If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you: for I fear Allah, the Lord of the `Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)." "Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of the dwellers of the Fire; and that is the recompense of the alimin (polytheists and wrong-doers);" So the Nafs (self) of the other (latter one) encouraged him and made fair-seeming to him the murder of his brother; he murdered him and became one of the losers; Then Allah sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother; He (the murderer) said: "Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?" Then he became one of those who regretted}. (Al-Ma'idah, 27-31)

Ayat al-Kursi is regarded as one of the most powerful ayahs in the Quran because when it is recited, the greatness of God is believed to be confirmed. The person who recites this ayah morning and evening will be under protection of Allah from the evil of the jinns; this is also known as the daily adkhar.

Mourning the Death of Husayn ibn Ali?

The best that can be said when remembering these and similar calamities is that which ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated from his grandfather the Messenger of Allah(pbuh) 

, who said: “There is no Muslim who is afflicted by a calamity and when he remembers it, even if it was in the dim and distant past, he says Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon (verily to Allah we belong and unto Him is our return), but Allah will give him a reward like that of the day when it befell him.”

Narrated by Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majaah, end quote from al-Bidaayah wa’l-Nihaayah (8/221).

As I mentioned earlier, the event of Karbala is one of the most tragic events of our history, but the Holy Prophet

 ہمیں اپنا محاسبہ کرنا ہوگا کہ امسال اللہ کی اطاعت میں بڑھوتری ہوئی یا کمی آئی؟ ہماری نمازیں، روزے اور صدقات وغیرہ صحیح طریقہ سے ادا ہوئے یا نہیں؟ ہماری نمازیں خشوع وخضوع کے ساتھ ادا ہوئیں یا پھر وہی طریقہ باقی رہا جوبچپن سے جاری ہے؟ روزوں کی وجہ سے ہمارے اندر اللہ کا خوف پیدا ہوا یا صرف صبح سے شام تک بھوکا رہنا؟ ہم نے یتیموں اور بیواؤں کا خیال رکھا یا نہیں؟ ہمارے معاملات میں تبدیلی آئی یا نہیں؟ ہمارے اخلاق نبی اکرمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اخلاق کا نمونہ بنے یا نہیں؟ جو علم ہم نے حاصل کیا تھا وہ دوسروں کو پہنچایا یا نہیں؟ ہم نے اپنے بچوں کی ہمیشہ ہمیش کی زندگی میں کامیابی کے لئے کچھ اقدامات بھی کئے یاصرف ان کی دنیاوی تعلیم اور ان کو دنیاوی سہولیات فراہم کرنے کی ہی فکر کرتے رہے؟ ہم نے امسال انسانوں کو ایذائیں پہنچائی یا ان کی راحت رسانی کے انتظام کئے؟ ہم نے یتیموں اور بیواؤں کی مدد بھی کی یا صرف تماشہ دیکھتے رہے؟ ہم نے قرآن کریم کے ہمارے اوپر جو حقوق ہیں وہ ادا بھی کئے یا نہیں؟ ہم نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کی یا نافرمانی؟ ہمارے پڑوسی ہماری تکلیفوں سے محفوظ رہے یا نہیں؟ ہم نے والدین، پڑوسی اور رشتہ داروں کے حقوق ادا کئے یا نہیں؟
