The Riverfront: A Cincinnati Reds Show

It's the last week of August and your Cincinnati Reds are still in the playoff hunt. In fact, if the season ended today (it doesn't), the Reds would be IN the playoffs. What a time to be alive.

Chad and Nate discuss the playoff race, the sweep of the Angels, Hunter Greene's rough return to the roster, and what the Reds should do to honor Joey Votto. Plus, more details about our 500th episode live show in Cincinnati on September 9!

Although Hunter Greene returned this afternoon, the first start post IL and rehab was not what we had all hoped, but Noelvi Marte got his first start at third base today! Tim and Ben discuss the week's highs and lows, including CES's walk-off homer Friday, Elly De La Cruz's Electric slide, and whatever happened today.

Also, the guys dive into what to do with Joey Votto in the future.

A pretty good week for the ol' Redlegs, and Jonathan India is not happy! Okay, those two things are unrelated, but they're among the many topics Chad and Chris Garber break down on this week's episode. Also: the imminent return of Hunter Greene and Nick Lodolo, Joey Votto's contract option, and Nick Senzel's future in Cincinnati.

This week we begin the Battle of Ohio and the reward as always is the prestigious Ohio Cup. While things have been shaky for the Reds, many are wondering if the Guardians have also started to look ahead to their future as well.

Quincy Wheeler of Cleveland Guardians Fancast joins Tim and Ben to discuss the series, where the team currently sits and also draft their own Battle of Ohio Fantasy teams!

The Reds have collapsed since the trade deadline, dropping from first place into a tie for second. Is it time for Reds fans to panic? If not, what reasons are there for optimism? Chad, Nate, and Bill Lack discuss all that and more!

Plus, we reveal the big news we've been teasing for the last few weeks: The Riverfront will be having a live show in Cincinnati on September 9 to celebrate our 500th episode! Plan to join us at The Stretch at The Banks at 4pm that day to meet everyone, and then head over to that night's game at Great American Ball Park. More details to come, but mark it in your calendars!

Tim and Ben try to figure out what in the heck happened this weekend vs. the Nationals, can they get back on track, and how confident should the Reds feel moving forward the remainder of the season.

Chad and Nate discuss what the Reds did do and didn't do at this week's MLB trade deadline, and analyze what the fallout will be from Cincinnati's reluctance to improve the club for the stretch run. It's a deep dive into every angle of a topic that has divided Reds fans (unnecessarily) in recent days.

The best part, however, is an examination of Joey Votto's WWE heel turn this week. You don't want to miss it.

First of all: screw the Brewers. After a 5-game winning streak, the Reds stumble again vs. Milwaukee, but all is not lost. The team is still in good position as we approach August, and Chad and Nate try to accentuate the positive. We also talked about what the Reds need to do at the trade deadline...and teased a big announcement to come about episode #500!

The Reds are on a 5 game-winning streak going into their (thankfully) final matchup of the 2023 regular season with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Reds go into the 3-game series just a half-game behind the Brewers for 1st place in the NL Central, but currently hold the top Wild Card spot.

Tim and Ben get together to celebrate Tim's 34th birthday (a night early) while also discussing a huge bounce-back week for the Redlegs.
