If you had told Megan that there would EVER be an episode that would be mostly about sports, she would have told you you were out. Of. Your. Mind. The oldest show cave in the state of Missouri is Mark Twain Cave, and the newest geological cave in the state is Cameron Cave, both in Hannibal. Linda Coleberd's family has owned both caves for nearly a hundred years. On this episode, Linda teaches us about stalactites, stalagmites and ... stalagpipes? And, what is a crinoid?

John Wingate grew up in the Hannibal/Quincy area and was friends with Joel and Billy Hoag and Craig Dowell. One day, in May of 1967, these three young boys went exploring in Hannibal's cave system - and vanished. John went on to become a broadcaster, journalist and media consultant. Last year, he decided the story of these "Lost Boys" needed to be told, so he wrote,"The Lost Boys of Hannibal: Inside America's Largest Cave Search." John joins us to tell this fascinating, historic and bittersweet story.

Olivet's Office Manager, Donna Brown, and she shares her knowledge about the final resting place of the Clemens family, the man upon whom the character of Injun Joe is based, Mizzou's Don Farout, Clarence Gideon, the father of the American public defender system, and others.

When we sought out advise about starting a podcast, we turned to St. Louis area podcaster Bill Clevlen, the host of "Rediscovering America," and www.billontheroad.com. Although, for our visit, Bill was actually on the couch.
