From Joint Logistics expert @cynicalPublius on X: Biden is sending U.S. logistics troops to do a humanitarian aid mission, and he is pretending those logistics troops don't need U.S. combat arms troops as security, because Hamas will lovingly provide such security. Many Americans will die. The domestic Hamas extremist threat is real, even from inside our own armed forces. The attempted prescriptions for climate change are generally worse than the disease—especially for the poor. Demands to transform the global energy infrastructure to depend heavily on wind, solar, and other renewables are harmful to people in America and the world–especially to the poor. As he told us would happen on the show last week, last Friday, Blaze journalist Steve Baker was arrested and charged for his reporting actions as an independent reporter in the US Capitol on January 6 2021. This may seem routine to some Americans considering how ill informed many are about the political prisoners, but I see this action as another attack on the first amendment by the current regime. Much like what would happen in the old Communist USSR and Communist China, Baker was handcuffed and shackled in leg irons for his appearance in court on four misdemeanor charges while those accused of felonies felon were not. America’s nuclear command, control, and communications system was the most reliable and secure communications system in the world during the cold war due to its unique capabilities to transmit the nuclear launch order from the President of the United States to our forces rapidly over a wide network that included electronic, mechanical, and manual means, even during a nuclear attack. The methodology ensured the message was received accurately and within a very short time frame. But today, new Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and cyber warfare capabilities call into question our NC3 reliability and security in the case of a nuclear war. We face three increasingly capable adversaries whose strategy relies on EMP attacks on the USA when an all-out kinetic World War three begins. China, Russia, and North Korea have all developed and fielded capabilities able to bring our electrical and communications down likely with less than five minutes of warning using super EMP, hypersonic, and cyber weapons, effectively decapitating our defense command, enabling them to believe they might be able to win a nuclear war. While this sounds far-fetched, the reality is these capabilities do exist in the hands of these three adversaries combined. My guest today is US Army veteran and Executive Vice President of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security David Pyne. Mr. Pyne is an expert on a number of issues including national security strategy, international relations, military history and defense policy issues. In addition, he is an authority with regards to the U.S., Russian and Chinese nuclear arsenals, U.S. and Russian missile defense systems and the increasing threat posed by EMP weapons. “The era of Grand Treaties from the Cold War is over - get over it and start acting like it. Treaties only work when there is credible deterrence and a willingness to inflict cost for a party failing to adhere to the treaty.” In fact, The United States abandoned the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces, or INF, treaty after we watched Russia cheated on it a gazillion times, resulting in the re-activation of the nuclear Tomahawk Cruise Missile program in this year’s Defense Authorization Act. With this apparent Russia space nukes issue, we should be prepared to exit the International Space treaty of 1967, but will we? Do we have a credible deterrent to keep that treaty viable? Will our idealistic State Department personnel even consider the idea of abandoning these grand treaties all together? With China continuing its long strategy of re-uniting Taiwan with the mainland, will the Communists keep their treaty obligations or should we just expect that they will not? With the CCP’s continuing aggressive military behavior toward Taiwan confidence in treaties is these days shouldn’t be very high. My guest today has quite a bit to discuss with us about these issues and more. Colonel (Ret.) Russia has spaced-based nuclear weapons! That is the clarion call issued by the House Armed Services Committee Chairman during an attempt to get a $65 billion check sent to Ukraine. The big question, once the truth came out that while the threat of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) nuclear detonation in space is an existential threat, but that Russia has not fielded any such weapon system yet, is what is the technology required to achieve this capability, or does it already exist? The situation in Ukraine appears dire as Russia has taken the eastern city of Adeevka and continues to press its gains all along the front with some modest successes. Rumors have spread rapidly that the Russian Armed Forces has begun an announced spring offensive early to capitalize on new territory it now controls. All as Ukraine continues to beg America for more dollars and supplies from the United States and NATO. Is it too late for Ukraine to sue for peace? After all it has a framework from the talks in Turkey that UK PM Boris Johnson kept from moving forward two years ago it can start with. Unfortunately, Russia’s National Security Council Deputy (and former President) Dmitri Medvedev went on record this week saying that Kiev is a historically Russian city but it is currently controlled by gangsters from NATO and the United States. He clearly stated that Russia will likely go as far as the Ukrainian capital if the armed forces continue their current successes. All of this as a story broke in the New York Times just days ago revealing a decades-long CIA program has existed in Ukraine.
