To kick off 2025, we are entering Aardman Animation Studios with a return to the Wallace & Gromit universe in Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. Top dog Gromit springs into action to save his master when Wallace's high-tech invention goes rogue and he's framed for a series of suspicious crimes. The film is directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham and features voice work by Ben Whitehead, Peter Kay, Lauren Patel, Reece Shearsmith, and Diane Morgan.

With our final review of the year, and following our recent retrospective conversation on the career of Robert Eggers, we succumb to the darkness in his latest work, Nosferatu. In a reimagining of the 1897 novel and 1922 silent film, Nosferatu’s legacy of adaptation is rich and extensive. In the 2024 iteration, Eggers delivers a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the terrifying vampire infatuated with her, causing untold horror in its wake. The film stars Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Emma Corrin.
