The Royal Access

In our microwave, positive thinking, prosperity age, sometimes makes some of us believe if we want something we can just manifest it, or once I want something bad enough, I can just ask God and receive it. 

Today we deep-dived into the meaning of Mathew 7:7-11 which tells us how we must come before the Lord with our desires.

Ask - Prayer

Seek - the heart of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33

Knock - Do the work - Persistent Action

The semicolon tells us that they are two or more ideas in a sentence but also that these ideas are equal to rank. Meaning they go together

     2. Seek is the glue( this is the part we ignore when we don’t give God thanks for answered prayers and this is the part we don’t examine when we don’t get our own way.

Reflect the heart of God and God’s will for my life it’s is pointless and null and void

James 4:3

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

How do I know if my motives are wrong, a good indicator is; are you anxious? If you are, ask yourself a series of why’s until you get to the root of your decision.

If my true motive is I’m seeking to do the will of God then you will also be ok with God’s timing and his way.

We ask with pure motives but God’s will still don’t feel like it’s Good

      3. God’s thoughts are not our thoughts

When you Ask, Seek, Knock in the will of God his grace brings blessings and favor into your life.

God is sovereign supreme and mighty we are servants that see the manifestation of Christ when we are submitted to his will! 🙌🏽

Have you ever watched someone from afar and just knew that there is greatness with their name on it? This is exactly how I felt when I first saw Nyisha compete in Miss Bahamas as Miss UB. Little did I know, before ever competing Nyisha felt she received a promise from God that she would one day represent the Bahamas internationally as Miss Bahamas. However year after year, system after system she was unsuccessful.

However, in the middle of the pandemic, years after she received the promise, God showed up in an unexpected way through an unconventional experience. Listen to how Nyisha watched God blow her mind, just when she thought all hope was lost.

Brinard had very humble beginnings, growing up his dad wasn't in his life, but he was always determined that he would be a man who followed the call of God in his life. Having to walk away from a job, choosing purity and wanting to cherish those moments in a God-ordained marriage and continuing to take leaps of sowing thousands into a God-given idea, that he constantly tried to run from. In 2021 he was finally obedient to launch the God-given idea of the Grand Bahama Prayer Summit but then could not physically attend as he was diagnosed with COVID-19. Through the trials, he has consistently seen the hand of God on his life and knows there is so much more for him to do!

Phillip grew up in a Christain home, his father was a Pastor, and he admired his parents' love for God. However, as a child, Phillip's parents got divorced, and although this circumstance began to alter the way he saw life, it never altered the way he saw God. As a 29 Christain male, Phillip may not be living the life of purpose he thought he would by this age. But through his maturity in Christ, he has learned that Purpose requires the kind of maturity that compels you to wait and trust God's timing, even when that is the last thing you would want to do.

Jaquay took a path down a road that most Bahamians wouldn't pursue. He left a secure job to become a full-time comedian. He shares about the time he was on stage for 10 minutes and not one person laughed at his jokes and about the time he hosted an event and only 6 people showed up. Chantel entered the Miss Bahamas pageant three times before she finally won the crown, she went off to school to follow her dream, and one semester after being away, had to return home. Chantel then left the stability of her 9-5 to pursue entrepreneurship and just a few short months in, a global pandemic hit.  In our interview, Chantel goes in-depth about how following the purpose God has for your life can sometimes look and feel like a failure, but despite the hard times, she admits that God's purpose is still one of the most beautiful things she has ever experienced.
