When the rain falls

River songs fill the air

Soak here with me

In soft green springs

Pools of deep shadowy alpine

Rippling lime

Spreading to emerald

Oceans opening to the sun

Turning into jewels

Perhaps I love the moss most of all

The smokey coolness, translucent white stems

Warm hearted singing green, nutty and earthy

I love the sensible green of an oak leaf

Balanced, dependable, familiar

And the way a fern has

A darker

A wet primordial mystery

Quite in contrast to the cyclic garden shades

Getting used to one season, one story

Wondering when you’ll change

I am cool waters that birthed forth jade

Almost every tone possible

Mineral cities on the horizon

Flashy malachite and turquoise hallways

Nothing pleases me more than taking my time

Turning a whole field over to tawny brown

And then back again after the spring rains

Tempering your eagerness with much needed rest

Green is every shade of rest.

And lends itself to all potential

Of dreams and of the future

From the immortal evergreens

To the blink and you’ll miss them fiddleheads

An interview, concert, and lush connecting.
Aotearoa New Zealand has a magical song bird named Caitlin Smith...poet, storyteller, spiritual being, community weaver, vocal coach, and rocket of energy and hope. It was a blast to sit on her rug, sipping macca cacao mushroom tea, as she jumped up sporadically to play her upright piano...all while being filmed for a doco. I learned so much about the senses, the richness of life and living a life full of purpose. We even covered a deep shared passion of astrology. I love this interview. It's so important to talk about visibility...about blindness. Her latest album has braille on it, and part of what she's trying to do is cultivate community to break down isolation. We can all do our bit. 
I went away feeling like I'd swam in the ocean and came out renewed.

Gosh aren't I stirring the hornets nest.
Just a wee dip into my concerns with wellness coaches, and then some red flags which I feel are important enough to pop into the notes:

Run for the hills if the coach has one or more of these issues...
-can't listen to your concerns with their service or can't listen to hearing you say they've offended you
-doesn't offer you options or do a financial readiness chat
-doesn't have good hygiene with relationship boundaries with you
-says your money issues are a lack mindset or handles criticism by suggesting you have unresolved negative thoughts
-holds no qualifications relating to their area of talent/expertise
-can't discuss racism, oppression, privilege, poverty or equity

I'd love to hear from any of my coaching friends, there's so much nuance here and this is only a ten minute dip into the subject...open for more!
