Okay so my partner and I got a mild dose of covid. I don't have ANYTHING to say about covid. But I do give you the Rudo lens on seeing my frazzled and frayed nervous system in need of healing. I had a week to do nothing but rest and I didn't allow myself to DO ANYTHING and my goodness was it good. Unfortunately it also means I am low on interview material so I needed another solo episode to tide me over before my next recorded conversation. So I felt REALLY called to record a slice of what brings me deep peace, joy, and what I think are important aspects to speak to about overload. I needed to keep it concise, so I just focused on a few important topics...intentional purchasing/investing, symbolic rituals, patience and slowing down, and of course the physical body.

A recent trip to the central library...on an auspicious day...Japanese music filled my ears as we collectively celebrated 70 years of two nations' diplomatic and cultural union. At this particular Japan Day celebration, I was reminded how amazing 4 distinct seasons are. And I knew I wanted to do a guided meditation exploring what those natural cycles could symbolise for our inner landscape. 
I hit record with pretty much no script planned.

Picture this- a full moon shines naked in a cloudless sky. I too am naked and I've just emerged from a hobit like oval spa, something out of a finnishh folk tale...and I'm tingling all over. The cool night air is almost overwhelmingly oppositve to the warm womblike chambre of Tina's sacred sauna. Shivering, I focus on the startling white moon...the air isn't bothering me now, because I have emmerged from one ritual space to another, and all 6 women plus our powerful guide and hostess are silent. We all understand there is no need to confer with each other in this moment. We are due for more rounds in the dark sauna...but for now we take our deep gulps of night air outside...as naked as the day we were born. And here we are re-born- ceremoniously as wild women. Here to cleans and transmute all that needs to be sweat out, given up to the ether...to the mother...to the dark night of our souls.
