"Having ZERO Black Owned Car Dealerships In Our Network Here At Hynundai Canada is Embarrassing" – Don Romano, CEO & President, Hyundai Canada.
It was an absolute pleasure to talk about an issue that matters with Don Romano! Fasten your seatbelts (pun intended) as this conversation actually matters.
Don Romano's Bio:
Having initially joined the organization as its Chief Operating Officer in January 2014, Don Romano was appointed President and CEO the following May. Mr. Romano has accumulated a wealth of automotive experience over 30 years through increasingly senior positions in Canada, the United States, and abroad.
After entering the automotive industry with Nissan North America in 1985 as its Corporate Product Marketing Manager, Mr. Romano joined Mazda Motor Corporation in 2000. Starting as a National Brand Manager in the company's California office, he progressed through a number of sales and marketing-focused positions before becoming the Managing Director and President of Mazda Canada in 2006. In 2010, his responsibilities at Mazda expanded. With the added title of Chief Marketing Officer, he led the company's marketing activities across North America. In 2012, Mr. Romano became the Senior Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer with ALJ International – his most recent position prior to Hyundai – where he established Toyota Saudi Arabia as the largest independent distributor for Toyota in the world with annual sales exceeding 300,000 units.

What does building a legacy mean to you? Do you build a legacy through your kids? Do you build a legacy through your career? Could you careless about a legacy and focus on NOW? All great questions and depending on who you are, any one of them could be applicable…..OR NOT.
Jordana Goldlist drops by the show to chat about what building a legacy means for her and why she chose not to have children. This was such a dynamic and great conversation because it begs the question of WHAT MATTERS TO PEOPLE? Arguably, there is no right or wrong question. But how we build a legacy really depends on what matters to us. This episode will help you unlock yourself in a way that will help give you clarity and also make you think.
Enjoy!

How are you? What an overused phrase that often holds little meaning or merit. Let me explain……often when we ask one another “how are you?” we ask and then immediately want to share our story without giving the said person an opportunity to even answer. So, instead of asking how someone is and putting all that weight on them, perhaps we can ask more detailed questions and show them we actually care and want to know!
Thoughts?
Much Love,
