In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I have the pleasure of being a guest on The Wayne Jones Show Podcast. This is an absolute pleasure as I am a huge fan of Wayne and all he does with entertainment.
This podcast leaves no stone unturned as we chat about life, business, comedy and what it really takes to be successful in your craft. Wayne and I throw some profanity into this episode as we are two passionate people who really love what we do and do not want to be just anybody doing anything. We chatted about the loss of parents, giving up bad habits and really implementing forcing functions that set you up for success!
I want to thank all my listeners for tuning in and sending pictures of yourselves using the hashtag #iListenToTheRyanHoltzShowPodcast on Instagram as we will be selecting one lucky winner each month and that winner can choose what charity they would like us to donate $100 too.

In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show Podcast, I chat with incumbent City of Edmonton Ward 12 Councillor, Moe Banga about his bid to seek re-election in the October 16, 2017 City Of Edmonton municipal election. We chatted about several hot topics including, education, property taxes, Uber, infrastructure and all things Edmonton including LRT. Moe was a great guest and generous to take some time to come on the show. Thanks Moe!
Why vote for Moe (Taken from his official website here)
Moe has lived in the ward for over 35 years. He and his wife raised their family in the ward. As a police officer he has worked throughout the city. Many of his friends and family also live in the ward.
Moe is heavily involved with amateur sport and other related activities. He has coached youth soccer and played men's soccer for over 30 years. He seeks to promote health and wellness through sport. He has recently come to terms with the fact that he can't move like he once did on a soccer field. More importantly, he has found another passion and calling in life – to give back to the community that has helped him to reach his potential by leveraging his leadership qualities and 'can do' approach.
Even though he didn't realize it early in his life journey, Moe was a leader and a community builder. His passion for coaching was very evident even when he was an athlete himself. More recently, he elevated his game to use the sports analogy. For example, as the President of a not-for-profit organization, Moe championed the construction of a multi-million dollar sports facility in the Ivor Dent Multi-Sport Tournament and Recreation Park. The facility is located in the southeast area of the ward. This venue will host major amateur sporting tournaments and competitions for years to come.
In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show Podcast, I welcome guest and ward 8 City of Edmonton election candidate, Eli Schrader to the show! Eli caught my attention when I heard about this bus named "Gus" which is almost like the "food truck" of election campaign offices. I think this is totally awesome and a nice fresh approach. All jokes aside, we start diving right into his mandate and many important issues such as Walterdale bridge project and the city budget.
Why vote for Eli (Taken from his official website here)
I have lived in the Strathcona area for over 10 years and am proud to call the Cloverdale neighbourhood home. I love the energy of the area and its special connection to the River Valley. Ward 8 is a unique constituency, and as such, needs a City Councillor that reflects its distinctive needs. From long term residents who have lived in the area for decades to new university students moving into Edmonton for the first time, the community is home to a wide variety of Edmontonians. As Ward 8 and Edmonton continues to transform and diversify, we need a city that will listen to its citizens and rally new talent to manage the change!
As always, please share, rate and subscribe to the show. I am truly thankful for all of the messages from amazing listeners like YOU!
In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show Podcast I talk with City of Edmonton Ward 9 candidate, Payman Parseyan about his 2017 election campaign. We talk about infrastructure, Uber, bike lanes and the importance of proper spending and utilization of local tax payer dollars. One clear point he made was eluding to the fact that the City of Edmonton is not considered a business, but rather a social service. this point came up when I referred to his business background and how he would transition those skills into being a councillor should he be elected.
Why vote for Payman? (See below copy taken from Payman's website here.)
With genuine passion for the Career, the strive to be face of my community, and never taking no for an answer, I am prepared to take on this duty. Like most professions, almost anyone can be taught how to become a politician, a police officer or a professor but teaching someone to want/love the work or to be genuine is almost impossible. This is the career path that I had chosen at 15 years of age and continue to strive towards it. While I do not have direct political experience as a City Councilor, I've held elected positions on various boards. I currently hold an elected board member position as the vice-president of the Iranian Heritage Society of Edmonton. I would recommend any questions regarding my ability to go above and beyond can be directed to the Society, any of its member's and any other associations that I have had the pleasure of dealing with as a reference of my character.
