  • Ep 15: Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor Fight Camps Left No Digital Marketing Stone Unturned

    In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I talk about the Floyd Mayweather & Conor McGregor fight and what business people or anyone looking to better their craft can take away from this EPIC marketing campaign ran by fight promoters.

    As per the podcast, towards the end I give 4 tips:

    1. If you are a business owner, do not just look for inspiration, new ideas or innovation within your own industry. If you need a prime example of this, check out Henry Ford who literally got inspiration for automotive assembly line from a meat packing plant he visited. Yes, that is right! Your vehicle production and engineering was inspired from a meat packing plant.

    2. Try to put some piece of content that is of value and native to you, meaning you do not have to produce some amazing piece of content but rather document and illustrate pieces of your life. You would be surprised how much value you can provide to someone else. You could blog, Instagram, Facebook blog posts etc.

    3. Stop doing a job that you hate (if you hate it) and find something that you love and want to be passionate about. This tip is not new or original, but so damn important!

    4. Try to be a sponge and take information from everything around you (I speak more about this on the podcast) so please listen for my big elaboration hehe.

    I also broke down the storytelling and hype that was generated and produced for this fight and then beautifully executed on several different medium such as social media , text, blogging and video. All great mediums to tell a story!

    Anyhow, listen, tune in and let me know your feedback and THANK YOU for listening! Also, if you are interested in sponsoring the show or in need of a great marketing, reach out to my team and I, here.

  • Ep 14: Special Guest Jerad Cox And I Chat Real Estate Marketing, School Education System And How To Thrive In Hardship

    In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I welcome special guest and Realtor, Jerad Cox to the show. We chat about real estate marketing, life of a teacher and our current educational system. We also talk about tips to stay motivated and positive.

    I wanted to have Jerad on the show for several reasons, but in witnessing how he runs his business and balances his family life through his social media, I have a ton of admiration for what he does. He is a teacher turned Realtor so that got me curious. Throughout this episode we transition from modern day education empowerment all the way through to entrepreneurship and hard work through success.

    As many people know, the world is changing, especially how we do business and communicate as humans. I feel that this episode really hits home from not only a professional aspect, but also a human perspective. I do not want to ramble on here, I want you to listen to the show. But before I do that, please visit Jerad's website here. He mentions several times on the show how he managed to merge his skills as a teacher and leverage them to empower his clients through education throughout their real estate transaction. Again, this episode is a banger! Enjoy!

  • Ep 13: Special Guest Mark Gatto & I Chat Influencer Marketing, Apparel Business, Grenfell Tower and Floyd Mayweather

    In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I have special guest Mark Gatto, Owner and Founder of Neighburr Hats on the show to chat influencer marketing, apparel business, grenfell towers and Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor.

    I wanted to have Mark on the show as I originally connected with him on his Instagram as he reached out to me and asked if I would like one of his hats. He wanted my opinion and offered to ship me hats for my wife and son. As anyone would feel, I was very grateful and gave him a big shout out on my account. This is what we call "Influencer Marketing." This is the type of marketing that see's brands connect via social media with people who have a great following. Mark shed some insight as a smaller hat and apparel company as to why this type of strategy would work for him.

    We also chatted about hardships and failures when it comes to starting your own business and what are some techniques and remedies you can use to get over the hurdle. We also chatted briefly about the grenfell tragedy in London. This tragedy has literally affected me so deeply ever since it happened and I just want to send all my love and prayers to those that were heavily impacted. In 2017, this should not happen in the modern day world.

    This episode is packed with goodies so please reach out and let me know what you think! You can visit Mark and see all the beautiful hats here! As always, if you loved the episode, please rate it on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher. You can hit me up here if you have a guest that would like to be on the show or if you have any suggestions!

  • Ep 12: Interview With Optometrist Dr. Danielle Gordon, United Airlines, Business Marketing Strategies, Life's Challenges & Adversities

    In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I interview Optometrist, Wife, Mom, Community Leader and over all an amazing human, Dr. Danielle Gordon. Dr. Danielle Gordon is an optometrist and partner with My Optometrist Calgary. Where do I begin?! This podcast is literally almost two hours long and every minute is butter, baby. Trust me!

    Initially I really wanted to have Dr. Danielle on my podcast because of the work I had seen her do on her company's Instagram page. About 3 minutes into the podcast, my whole excitement changed because I instantly knew I was talking to an absolute marvel of a human. Normally, I do not want any of my episodes to run on or go past 90 minutes tops! In this case, it was a must, so all you people who have a short attention span, be patient and listen to this episode even if it takes you 10 cracks hahahaha. You will not be disappointed.

    I do not want to transcribe everything we chatted about here in the show notes, that is what the podcast is for, so below is a bullet list of subjects and topics we covered at length:

    * Being an introvert
    * Being vulnerable
    * Business partnerships
    * Choosing a theme word about how she wants to live her life (This year it is "Play")
    * United airlines blunder example about "re-accomodating" patients
    * Rectifying bad patient, client or customer experiences puts businesses in a challenging situation given the digital environment and instantaneousness that social media brings
    * How to incorporate a staff social media policy for small, mid and large businesses
    * Automotive personal branding and social media policies
    * Never too late to go back to school
    * Tips on how to stay consistent and motivated?
    * How to stay inspired both personally and professionally?
    * How medical professionals are putting a personal touch on patient care

    As always's thanks for your support and for listening. Please rate the podcast in iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher!

  • Ep 11: Stop Marketing, Humanity is The Sales Pitch and Personal Reflection

    In this episode of The Ryan Holtz Show, I talk about why you should stop marketing and start loving people. I also talk about why humanity is the sales pitch. Many entrepreneurs in this 2017 business climate are feeling the pinch especially due to financial and slim margins. I chat about the mentality or self awareness that you could potentially use to allow you to feel less pressure to sell and more energy to create and cultivate great relationships. Humility is key and hard work is the door! As I ended off in this episode with one question: Why does your product or service deserve your customer's time? BOOM!
