Tonight in-studio we have a "Low, Lower, Lowest" edition of Highway 89 with music for the unlikely trio of bassoon, bass, and tuba! 

On bassoon and bass we have Leon Chodos and Ted Merritt, respectively, both members of the Utah Symphony. Matthew Lindal joins them on tuba. Tonight's compostitions are provided by members of the Salty Cricket Composers Collective, a Utah-based organization that promotes Utah composer's music being performed by Utah musicians, for listeners in Utah and around the country. Two of the composers of tonight's repertoire, Marden Pond and Esther Megargel, are in-studio and chat with host Steven Kapp Perry about their work, along with Salty Cricket co-founder Victoria Petro-Eschler.
