The Sandler Pit

He's the master, the master of disguise!

How did we get here?

Why have we watched The Master of Disguise on our Adam Sandler podcast before watching Happy Gilmore?

Oh well, here goes.

This week, we're watching an adventure comedy film called The Master of Disguise, in which Dana Carvey disguises himself as C-List celebrities and a giant turtle.

But will this film disguise itself as a product worthy of The Sandler Castle, or will it get slapped straight into The Sandler Pit?

Oh no, here we go again.

It's another birthday in The Pit, so we're revisiting one of our favourite Pit Movies, Grown Ups 2. Due to a crazy turn of events involving lots of alcohol, we decided to ditch our original 'unreleasable' recording and instead we called upon Joe Turone's help to fill a Luke Thomas shaped hole this week.

We had a lot of fun and hope you do too!

BOOM!

In this episode we're cracking out our 'James Journals' and digging into more Kevin James goodness in the form of Here Comes The Boom. Yet again we've got a sports comedy, this time using the backdrop of MMA.

But will Here Comes The Boom deliver a superman punch worthy of The Sandler Castle, or is this one going to get knocked out straight into The Sandler Pit?

Lock and load, it's time for some crime!

In this episode we're digging into the movie 'Bulletproof', in which Adam Sandler plays a criminal on the run who teams up with an undercover cop to take down a gang.

But will this film manage to escape to a life in The Sandler Castle, or will it get arrested and imprisoned in The Sandler Pit?

Here it is, the big one.

In this episode we're digging in to the biggest film of 2022, TRANSFORMANIA! The fourth film in the Hotel Transylvania franchise which has sneakily replaced Adam Sandler and Kevin James for an unknown reason... However, that's not enough to stop our Adam Sandler centric podcast from covering this film, because we find the 'Drac Pack' too good to ignore.

But will Transformania manage to transform itself into a Sandler Castle worthy film, or will the absence of the Sandman leave us feeling empty like The Sandler Pit?

Looks like we're going on a sasquatch hunt.

In this episode, The Sandler Pit is digging into yet another non-Sandler starring Happy Madison movie, Strange Wilderness. This one follows Steve Zahn and some of the other Sandler regulars as they go on a quest to find the elusive legend himself, Bigfoot.

But will Strange Wilderness survive the trip and reach The Sandler Castle, or will it be shot with tranquillisers and dumped in The Sandler Pit?

In this episode, The Sandler Pit covers some new ground.

This week we're digging into 'Finding Sandler', an upcoming documentary in which filmmaker David Seth Cohen sets out on a quest to make good on a missed opportunity from his past: to have a drink with Adam Sandler.

We spoke with David at the end of last year all about his film, his time working on 'Big Daddy' and lots more. Enjoy!

It's another Pit birthday!

To celebrate Luke Thomas being even more of a Grown Ups, we decided to rewatch one of our favourite Pit films, Grown Ups. Stick the film on and watch along with our synced up commentary.

We also got very drunk. Sorry in advance!

Happy New Year!

In this first episode of 2022, our Adam Sandler podcast focuses on yet another film he produces but doesn't star in, The House Bunny. This movie follows Anna Faris as Shelley, an 'old' playboy bunny who begins mentoring some college misfits because of reasons.

But will this film become a centrefold in The Sandler Castle, or will it be kicked out and forced to face a sad life in The Sandler Pit?

Live from New York, it's New Year's Eve night! (Except we're not live, and we're actually in the U.K.)

This week we're digging into some Saturday Night Live content, including a 'best of' compilation from Sandler's time on the show in the 90s and also his comeback as host in 2019. But will these sketches sing their way into The Sandler Castle, or will they get booed off stage into The Sandler Pit?
