The Sandler Pit

Remember all those great child stars from the 80s and 90s? Ever wonder what they are up to now?

No, neither do we.

In this episode we watch and discuss a film called Dickie Roberts, which stars David Spade as a washed up former child star.

But will this film go off the rails and wind up in The Sandler Pit, or will it get a career resurgence and gain entry to The Sandler Castle?

Saturday Night Live turned 40 around 8 years ago, and a bunch of old cast members did a little celebration thing.

We watched that thing and spoke about it at length. Warning: we are not fans of Saturday Night Live, so this episode is full of negativity.

Will this celebration of this legendary show make it's way into the celebrated halls of The Sandler Castle, or will it celebrate by being buried in The Sandler Pit?

Oh look, we're finally covering a piece of Adam Sandler history...

In this episode, The Sandler Pit is digging into Billy Madison, one of Sandler's earliest leading roles and a comedy classic. It's about time we watched this one!

But will Billy Madison graduate and end up in The Sandler Castle, or will he be expelled and end up alone in The Sandler Pit?

The Sandler Pit is back for more fun!

In this special episode we're celebrating a 'FOS' (Friend of Sandler), in the form of Brendan Fraser, who you might remember from Airheads. Fraser is currently nominated for a bunch of awards for his incredible performance in The Whale, so we thought we would chat about his recent interviews with Adam Sandler while also reviewing an early film of his, 'Encino Man', which also features Pauly Shore.

But will Encino Man end up frozen and buried in The Sandler Pit, or will he weez the juice all the way into The Sandler Castle?

Happy New Year!!

It took 85 episodes but finally we're covering the one film everyone has been waiting for... Norm of the North.

The animated polar bear film. You know, the one where Rob Schneider voices the bear? There's no real reason for us to have watched this, let alone discussed it for over an hour and a half, but this is what our lives are like now.

Will this film become the new king of The Sandler Castle, or will it melt and end up in The Sandler Pit?

Ho Ho Ho here we go again!

Welcome to the third instalment of The Christmas Pit, a mixed bag episode stuffed full of games, gifts and a slightly irrelevant review. This time we dig into the world of dog based Christmas films with the Rob Schneider movie 'Shelby: The Dog Who Saved Christmas' and even create our own Adam Sandler Christmas movie ideas. We hope you enjoy this weird festive treat, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It's that time of year again!!

We're revisiting one of the earliest movies we covered, Eight Crazy Nights, the animated Adam Sandler comedy musical about a dysfunctional man wreaking havoc on a small town. This film currently resides in The Sandler Pit, but could there be a Hanukkah miracle on the cards?

Hello Chicago, how you doing tonight?

Something a bit different this week as we watch and discuss Adam Sandler's live HBO Special, 'What The Hell Happened To Me?'

But is this a hall of fame performance worthy of The Sandler Castle, or will it get booed into The Sandler Pit?

The Sandler Pit is once again visiting Paul Blart, the iconic Mall Cop portrayed by Kevin James. This time Paul is heading to Vegas and saving people from an art thief, because of course he is.

But will Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 ride a suitcase into The Sandler Castle, or will the zip-wire snap and throw the film straight into The Sandler Pit?

Once upon a time, there were three small wooden boys, who wanted nothing more than to be real...

Welcome to the first episode of Reel Boyz, a new podcast from Luke Terry, Luke Thomas and Joe Turone all about Pinocchio, for whatever reason... Future episodes of Reel Boyz will be appearing on a separate feed but as this adaptation features Rob Schneider we thought we could springboard off of The Sandler Pit.

Enjoy and make sure you subscribe to the Reel Boyz podcast feed, instagram and all that stuff. Cheers!
