The Sandler Pit

Everyone's favourite twins are back for a very special episode!

It's not actually that special, but to celebrate 2 years of The Sandler Pit we decided to do a rewatch of the first ever film that we covered, Jack and Jill. Don't expect much insight though, we got distracted halfway through and started planning a cruise trip.

Pauly Shore is Dead!... or is he?

In this episode we're watching and discussing a very niche film in which comedian and actor Pauly Shore fakes his death and then goes to prison. This one is full of cameos, including a vocal cameo from the Sandman himself.

But will Pauly Shore get away with his scheme and live a happy life in The Sandler Castle, or will he lose his fame and end up trapped in The Sandler Pit?

It's about to get dirty in here!

In this episode we're digging into Joe Dirt, a David Spade film in which he plays a down on his luck janitor who becomes an overnight sensation on something called a 'radio show'.

But will Joe Dirt fly a hot air balloon into The Sandler Castle, or will his parents abandon him in The Sandler Pit?

Crank up your TV, it's time to watch some Small Screen Sandler!

Back in December we began delving into Adam Sandler's work on television, seeing him grow from a budding comedy actor in tiny bit parts to a Hollywood star doing his friends a favour by appearing on their sitcoms. This time we're mainly covering Sandler appearing for a few seconds in Kevin James shows... and more!

But will each show be gracing small screens in the Sandler Castle, or will they be taken off the air and dumped in The Sandler Pit?

Oh no, looks like things are about to get scary.

In this episode we're digging into the film 'Becky', which stars Kevin James as a Neo-Nazi who takes a family hostage during a search for a magical key.

But will this film find the key to The Sandler Castle, or will it get killed by an angsty teenager and end up in The Sandler Pit?

It's about time we discussed Men, Women & Children.

In this episode we are digging into a comedy drama film directed by Jason Reitman and starring lots of familiar faces including Hank from Breaking Bad and even Adam Sandler. This film follows numerous families as they deal with problems caused by technology in the modern day, apparently.

But will we be crying a new moat for The Sandler Castle, or will this film rot its brain by using phones too much and then end up in The Sandler Pit?

Oh no, we're being visited by the Angel of Death again!

We decided that it has been too long since we watched Click. We didn't love the film last time but for some reason it stuck with us, so we're going to revisit the sci-fi comedy starring Adam Sandler as Michael Newman.

This time we'll be recording a commentary track for the film, so sync up and join us on this emotional rollercoaster!

It's dunkin' time!

In this episode we are discussing the latest Adam Sandler film, Hustle, in which he plays the excellently named 'Stanley Sugarman'. Sugarman is a basketball scout, so expect sports, shouting and maybe a montage or two.

But will this film shoot enough hoops to land a place in The Sandler Castle, or will it get sent off for a foul, and end up in The Sandler Pit?

It's sportin' time.

In this episode we discuss the Netflix Original movie 'Home Team', starring Kevin James as Sean Payton. This is one of the first movies we're covering that is based on a true story. It's about Kev coaching a kids American Football team, and is directed by Charles and Daniel Kinnane, who previously worked on Kevin James' excellent YouTube channel.

But will Home Team score a goal worthy of the Sandler Castle, or will it projectile vomit itself into The Sandler Pit?

And we are back!

After a short break we are back in the world of the Sandman with a bumper sized special episode. This one is a bit strange as it's the first time we recorded in person and we're not covering a specific film. Instead we have a big catch up on any Sandler related news, what we've been up to in the last few months and then a big ol' game in which we compete to draft the best Sandler film possible.

We hope you enjoy this slightly unconventional episode!
