  • John Cremer: Listening intently to the other person and really tuning into that
John Cremer is an award-winning professional speaker and author, whose main goal is help individuals and organisations communicate better. He uses a clever combination of his 2 techniques, which are his ‘Reading People’ system and improvisation, both of which help lead people on the right path to better communication. In a refreshingly personal, playful and humorous way, John teaches people how to quickly read someone new that they have just met, allowing them to engage much quicker, and he uses improvisation to help breakdown any awkward barriers, allowing people to feel more confident and understand themselves and others in a much better way.
John talks to Sandro about his life journey that took him to the USA for 15 years and what made him return and how he feels both introverts and extroverts alike can benefit from the art of improvisation. He also gives a fascinating insight into the 6 ‘types’ of people that exist, and how by learning to identify someone’s type you can immediately read them and therefore instantly communicate better with them.

  • Steve Rockall: Motivated by creating a virtual interaction with the deceased
Steve Rockall is the founder of a new and unique company, whose work entails something we all inevitably have to deal with in our lives – finding the perfect resting place for our loved ones. His company, House Martin Memorial Walls are beautiful sculptural walls that in effect replace the need for space-consuming graves and overcome the issue of scattering loved one’s ashes which is now deemed illegal.
Made up of marketers, designers and artists, HMW offers families an environmental and sustainable way of creating a beautiful memorial where they can remember their loved ones.
This idea is said to be the first viable worldwide burial alternative since Saxon time, which clearly makes it a pioneering alternative to burying our loved ones.
Steve talks to Sandro about the reality of the severe shortage of land available for burials, the illegality of scattering ashes and the global and eco-friendly possibilities of his memorial walls.

  • Rimi Thaper: Concentrating on creating a great brand
Rimi Thaper is the founder of ‘LoveRaw’, the vegan brand of gluten-free snacks, drinks and powders. Rimi was formerly a hedge fund marketeer but she turned her back on that in 2013 and set up LoveRaw. She started out by investing £600 in packaging and a blender to secure her first order of products which she created in her own kitchen. In 2017 she featured on ‘Dragon’s Den’ and was offered £50k in investment by Deborah Meaden, which she turned down as she wasn’t prepared to give up a 30% stake in a business she had worked so hard to build. She has no regrets about making that decision as her company has since gone from strength to strength and in 2018 was valued at £1.75 million!
Rimi talks to Sandro about the series of life events that led to her setting up her own business, balancing her work and family life and the sacrifices she’s had to make for her business to boom!

  • Henry Fraser: Accepting and adapting
Henry Fraser is a mouth artist and author of ‘The Little Big Things’, in which he writes about his accident in 2009. At the young age of 17, he became paralysed from the shoulders down after a devastating accident in Portugal, where he dived into the sea and hit his head on the seabed. He went through 2 major operations, contracted MRSA and pneumonia and had to be fitted with a pacemaker, after his heart stopped.
Henry found the dark reality of his situation too much at first and found himself constantly questioning, ‘why me?’, but one day he had a dramatic mindset change and made the choice that being tetraplegic was not going to beat him. Despite being told it would be impossible to move a wheelchair himself and that he’d be in hospital for at least 18 months, his determination saw him wheel himself out of hospital just 6 months later.
Henry talks to Sandro about how he has incredibly overcome adversity with a positive mindset and a determination that is an inspiration to us all.

  • Steve Judge: Thinking about what you can do and not what you can't
Steve Judge’s story is one of sheer inspiration. Steve always had a passion for all sports, especially running but when he was in a near fatal car accident in 2002, both his legs were crushed and he was told he may never walk again and could lose both legs. So when I tell you that he went on to not only push himself through unimaginable pain barriers to walk again, but that he also became a multi-award winning para-triathlete and that 2 of those awards were as World Champion, you will get an idea for the determination and motivation this man has. He’s now retired as a para-triathlete and is has become an international motivational speaker. His attitude when he was in a wheelchair was that his accident hadn’t ‘ruined’ his life but instead ‘changed’ his life, and this sums up the immense positivity he shares with people at his hugely inspiring and entertaining events.
Steve talks about the importance of setting goals and working towards them and when challenges get in the way, you change the plan not the goals. A truly inspirational podcast where Steve really shows that if you believe in yourself and keep working towards your goals you can achieve amazing things.
