  • How To Date Realistically feat. Michelle Tremblay

On the tenth episode of The Sarah Show, Sarah ends off the first season with a chat with her mentor and friend Michelle Tremblay about how to manage your expectations when it comes to dating.

Michelle Tremblay has been married to her husband for 14 years, so she spills wise lessons she's learned about dating through her own experiences and her friends' mishaps.

Sarah has not had nearly as much dating experience, so she asks Michelle common questions about how to date, like "What criteria do you look for in a boyfriend?", "How did you know your husband was The One?",  and "Can your partner ever complete you?"

Listen in as Sarah and Michelle have a fun and challenging conversation about dating, all while discovering more about God and His plans for your romantic life.

Bible verse quoted by Sarah and Michelle: Matthew 6:33
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

  • How Post-Grad Life Looks Nothing Like We Thought feat. Cherie Wai

On the ninth episode of The Sarah Show, Sarah talks with Cherie Wai about the realities of life after post-secondary graduation — and it's not all unicorns and rainbows.

Cherie Wai graduated in 2019 with an honours degree in international development. She then did internships and worked at different non-profit organizations, and now she's looking for a marketing or communications job in the humanitarian sector.

Sarah Chew graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She now works as video producer for a Christian church youth ministry.

Neither Cherie nor Sarah expected their careers to go the way they did. Join the two women as they discuss the many struggles they faced after graduating: moving back home and losing their sense of independence, losing close friends and community, and being tempted to compare their career journeys with their peers.

Sarah and Cherie also talk about how God has taught them to submit all their dreams, hopes and aspirations to Him, and let Him make their paths straight. They even pray for the listeners who will be or currently are in their post-grad seasons — so listen to this episode until the end!

  • How To Be A Mom Without One feat. Sarah's Mom, Amy Chew

On the eighth episode of The Sarah Show, Sarah talks with her mom, Amy Chew, about how she learned to be such a good mother despite losing her own mom at an early age.

Amy Chew grew up in a village in Malaysia, where her parents ran a coffee shop. Her mom was diagnosed with cancer when she was only 10 years old, and for 10 more years while her mom was in and out of the hospital, Amy balanced taking care of her seven siblings and going to school.  At the age of 20, her mom passed away, and Amy talks about how that loss affected her life.

She also shares what it felt like when she gave birth to her first daughter, and how she wanted to be the best role model for her girls to look up to. In the absence of her own mom, Amy speaks about how God provided motherly figures and friends in her life to guide her.

  • How Eczema Affects Our Mental Health feat. Abby Tai of Eczema Conquerors

On the seventh episode of The Sarah Show, Sarah talks with Abby Tai, founder and creator of Eczema Conquerors and host of the Eczema Podcast.

Opening up about this topic for the first time online, Sarah shares that she has dealt with eczema since she was born. She'd often hide her wounds, hate herself for itching, and felt very alone because of it. Abby Tai shares that she was also born with the skin condition, but it grew dramatically worse when she broke up with her first love. Listen to the episode to hear about how they treat their eczema, how steroid creams may lead to homicidal tendencies (WHAT?!), and what they've learned about God during their struggles.

    Bible verse quoted: James 1:2-6

MORE ABOUT THE GUEST: Abby Tai is a holistic nutritionist who has battled with eczema from an early age. Instead of isolating herself in her pain, she created an online community for people who were suffering just like her. Now, through her podcast and social media,  Abby educates others and facilitates conversations about the skin condition, topical steroid withdrawal, and promotes ways to heal and cope. She has authored several books on the subject, and has her own skincare line for people with sensitive/eczema skin:

As we discuss in this episode, atopic dermatitis (eczema) in children and adults has been linked to the development of depression, anxiety, and even suicidal ideation. Here are some studies that show evidence of this:
