The Schoch Factor episodes

  • Duke's Ben Miller, Maryland's Eddie Hacopian Join

On this episode of The Schoch Factor Podcast, Stephen Schoch is joined by Duke's Ben Miller and Maryland's Eddie Hacopian.

Miller recently transferred to his hometown school after spending his undergrad years at Penn. This week, Ben went back to his old elementary school and read to some of their students and had them all come out to a game where his third-grade teacher threw out the first pitch. Ben has been off to a really hot start this season at the plate – which is really cool – but that pales in comparison to the experience he gave those young fans.

Following that, Schoch is joined by Hacopian, who talks to us about what it means to be playing baseball at his dad's alma mater and to be able to make a name for himself in his own right as a Terp. Eddie goes over his messy recruiting path that ultimately led him to his dream school with his little brother Chris.

It was an awesome time getting to meet both of these guys and learn more about how they got to where they are at today. You won't want to miss it!

On this episode of The Schoch Factor Podcast, Stephen Schoch is joined by the ever-dangerous Michael Patrick Rooney to talk about some of the madness that has been brought about in midweek baseball games this season. Coach Rooney gives us a look back at one of the less-than-ideal midweek coaching situations he put himself in, and Coach Schoch shares one of his less-than-ideal midweek outings. • Matt Masciangelo, Roman Kimball, Adam Tellier Join

On this episode of The Schoch Factor Podcast, Stephen Schoch is joined by three guys who had big moments during Opening Weekend to get some insight into what was going through their heads as they kicked off the 2024 season with a bang. We lead off with Sacramento State's Matt Masciangelo, who was plunked eight times over the course of three games against LMU. We hear from him about what it takes to absolutely wear it for the team. Next up we have South Carolina's Roman Kimball, who found his way back to the mound in a big way after a long hiatus rehabbing from injury. What did that look like? Well, how about setting the tone for a combined no-hitter. Then, to wrap it all up, we have the player who kicked off his Wake Forest career with a bang in Adam Tellier. Tellier took the first pitch thrown to a Demon Deacon this year and promptly sent it out of the park. We have all that and more, so make sure to tune in and check it out!
