  • Simplify your Life with Categorical Decisions
In today's fast-paced world, decision-making can be overwhelming and mentally draining, especially for entrepreneurs. Did you know that on average, we make 35,000 decisions a day?! That's roughly 1 decision every 2.5 seconds...   The constant need to make choices (even simple ones like what to eat for dinner) consumes valuable time and energy. As entrepreneurs, even small improvements in your decision making process can lead to huge returns in your business and life.   And with no clear guidelines for making decisions? You might find yourself burnt out with a heavy case of decision fatigue or mental overload.   In this episode, I explore the concept of categorical decision making—a strategy that can help you simplify your life and business by reducing the number of decisions you need to make each day. By implementing this strategy, you can free up mental space, reduce stress, and focus on what truly matters. So let's dive in!   Ready to ditch the busy work, streamline your business, and create the freedom and flexibility you crave? • Batch the Busy Work with a Maintenance Day

Are you tired of those never-ending tasks on your to-do list? You know, the ones that seem to multiply even when you're crossing off items left and right? Every task on your to-do list falls into one of two categories: maintenance or growth. Both types are crucial for reaching your business goals, but finding the right balance is key!

While it's easy to resent maintenance work, I want to have a little chat about the importance of finding joy in the process. Let's challenge the notion that maintenance tasks are menial or futile, because they play a special role in helping you achieve your business goals.

In this episode, I'm sharing how I batch my maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis by establishing intentional routines. The benefits of task batching are endless! You'll bring awareness to the time you spend on these tasks, eliminate the feeling of tasks constantly hanging over your head, and ultimately save time for your needle-moving tasks!

Say goodbye to the overwhelm of maintenance tasks and hello to a harmonious to-do list that keeps you on track to achieve your goals. Press play to break free from the maintenance task trap.

  • How I Broke Up with My Phone

My year of less challenge continues! A few months ago, I was speaking to a group of women in business about their challenges with productivity. Several women expressed that it was really difficult to set good boundaries with their phones while still showing up on social media (particularly Instagram) for their business. And I get it! As business owners, cookie-cutter productivity advice won't cut it when it comes to building a healthy relationship with technology. A lot of productivity experts will suggest that you take extreme measures like putting your phone in a drawer while you work or delete social media apps from your phone. And while that would certainly solve your problem, it's just not realistic for most small business owners.

So in the month of February, as part of my Year of Less Challenge, I broke up with my phone. Now let me give a disclaimer: I already had an okay relationship with my phone, but there's always room to improve! In February, my relationship with my phone went from good to great, and I solved my Instagram scrolling issue once and for all. In today's episode, I'm sharing the changes I've made to my habits and routines so that I can still use my phone daily for for my business, without being sucked into a mindless scroll. I'm sharing what I tried, what worked, and what didn't work. Press play for fresh tips on how to spend less time scrolling and more time being present for the things that actually matter to you!

  • The Passive Income Stream Every Savvy Business Owner Should Have

I'm all about working smarter, not harder, and the holy grail of working less and earning more is passive income. I mean, what's more efficient that making money in your sleep? But what do most passive income experts not mention? Setting up a passive income stream can be lot of work. Like.. A LOT of work (especially when you're doing it for the first time). And although I'd still recommend putting in the work to create those passive income streams, I also want to share an easy win.

There's one passive income stream every business owner should have, and it doesn't take endless hours to set it up! It's not sexy, in fact, it's incredibly boring! But it's a small way that you can earn more money, without having to put in a whole lot of extra work. The easy win? A bank account with APY terms that help you add extra cash to your bank account every single month. (I told you it wasn't gonna be sexy!!)

In this episode, I'm sharing more about why I decided to switch to new banks, what I looked for, and why I ultimately landed with SoFi and BlueVine. Tune into this episode and start making smarter money moves today!
