  • From Self-Loathing to Cleft Community Coach & Advocate, Christine Errico

Christine Errico was born with a cleft lip and palate. She spent much of her life feeling bullied alone and in denial.

This week, Christine speaks with Kristin about her various career and life changes, and how she found the confidence to leave an abusive marriage, speak up about her cleft, and start advocating for, and coaching, others with birth differences.

  • From Lawyer to Happy Camper, Allison Miller

Allison Miller 'slipped' out of being an actress and into being a lawyer, and then kind of slipped again into buying a summer camp with her husband in order to spend more time as a family with their four-year-old.

What Allison didn't know is that all of those slips would lead to her current missions camp, collaboration, creativity, and coaching.

This week, I'm speaking with lawyer turned Happy Camper, Allison Miller.

  • From Baking Cakes to Changing Lives, Suzanne Mahoney of HidraWear

Suzanne Mahoney was leading a life many of us dream of, first as a chef, and then happily running her own successful bakery.

But it was Suzanne's idea for a product to help people with hidradenitis suppurativa, a medical condition that she herself suffers from, that led her to 'close her eyes and leap'... leaving behind baking, moving across Ireland, and creating a revolutionary new product, HidraWear.

  • From "Regular" to Rock Stars, Cathy Loughead & Steph Smith

We've all dreamed of being a rock star, right?

In this episode, Kristin speaks with Cathy Loughead and Steph Smith of the garage punk band, Velvet Crisis.

Cathy and Steph are self-described "normal" women... except they happen to be in their 60s and newly in a punk band. Thanks to Ruth Miller and her Unglamorous Music project, women like Cathy and Steph aren't "old women sitting at home watching TV" but "old women on stage".

Hear about how punk music has stopped them from being invisible and has allowed them to get LOUD.

  • It's All in the Family, with Playwrights Babs and Laura Horton

This week I have not one, but two, amazing guests, Babs and Laura Horton. When first woman and first playwright Plymouth Laureate, Laura Horton, tweeted that her mum's first play was premiering on a Tuesday with Laura's on less than a week later -- in the same theatre! -- I knew I wanted to hear their stories. There were a lot of firsts to ask about!

What I discovered was a powerhouse creative duo, both with big changes after 35. It really does run in the family. This is Babs and Laura Horton!

  • A Foodie in France, Judith Keys

Sometimes it takes a new country, birthing a tiny human and a pandemic to start your next chapter!

This week I’m speaking with Judith Keys- and we’re talking about two of my favourite subjects FOOD and new paths in life.

Judith ended up in a secretarial role after school to start earning some money and got kind of stuck. It took moving to France, the birth of her second son and an online cooking class lightbulb moment for Judith to start her new company, My Food in France. My Food in France Ltd includes a paid cookery membership, interactive, online, cook-along classes for teams and individuals, and will soon be organising retreats close to Judith’s home in Provence.
