This week, Kristin is speaking with Julie McCalden.
The reality of Life as an artist wasn’t working for Julie, despite her lifelong love of art. Childhood memories and a freak accident collided to help Julie choose her next move- now she’s on a saucy quest to bring the joy of good salsa to the people of the UK.

Emergency medicine isn’t usually a laughing matter... unless you’re Stefania Licari.
Stefania spent years training and excelling through medical school to become a doctor, only to decide to pursue her dream of acting and comedy.
Today, this exceptional woman is finding a way to do both -- sometimes with hilarious results. This week, Kristin talks with Stefania about her multi-faceted career, life as an Italian in the UK post-Brexit, what it's (still) like to be a (female) doctor in 2022, and her new solo show, Medico, currently on at the Museum of Comedy in London.

This week, Kristin is in conversation with Rebecca Megson-Smith.
While she doesn't usually think of herself as a romantic (she's been told otherwise on the podcast!) Kristin loved Rebecca’s story of not just finding a career path, but also her real first love, after 35. So, old softie that she is, Kristin thought Rebecca's story was perfect for a Valentine's Day release.
Rebecca let fate dictate her life and found herself in a "greasy pole" corporate job and a misguided marriage, never quite knowing how to make the changes that she wasn't even sure she wanted. Now, Rebecca finds herself in a very different situation- fate or not- as a writer, a wife in an unexpected second marriage, a mother and a business owner (amongst other things!) She's also helping other writers find their own writing voice through her fabulous company, Ridley Writes.
For more about Rebecca or for writing mentoring and coaching (if you think about whether or not you're a writer, you are!)

This week Kristin is joined by the fascinating Dr. Naeema Olatunji.
Naeema knew she was ready for a career change, but a frightening accident involving her son shifted her focus and helped her to find her calling and go back to school later in life.
Now owning her own successful chiropractic practice, Dr. Naeema has turned to writing- specifically her story, Raised as a Lie. Raised as a Lie explores her experiences growing up amidst deceit, denial, and racism- and the path she finally found to freedom.

This week Kristin is speaking with Tracey Jane. Amongst other things, a pregnancy at 18 meant that Tracey took some time to find her career passion. When her son was just three, she opened her own successful business, but a brush with death made her realise it was time to follow a dream for herself.
Tracey is now a make-up and special effect working in film, with a current focus on the horror genre. Living the dream! Or is it the nightmare?
For some of Tracey's beautifully gory work... (if you can take it!) you can find her on:

This week, Kristin chats with her old friend (with a new mission), Rachel Kinley. Rachel has seen a lot of change in her life with a cross-country move, a series of jobs, time spent being a stay-at-home mom and divorce being just a few major life events.
But it was finding new meaning in a career that she wasn’t even sure she wanted in the first place, that led her to start her direct trade business empowering women, Meridian Lee.

This week concludes Kristin's talk with A'Lelia Bundles and wraps up Season 4 of The Second Chapter!
A'Lelia is the great-great-granddaughter of African-American entrepreneur, Madam CJ Walker, whose story was the inspiration for the Netflix series, Self-Made (originally published as On Her Own Ground). A'Lelia's great-grandmother, A'Lelia Walker, was an icon of the Harlem Renaissance.
This week, A'Lelia and Kristin discuss race relations in America, what A'Lelia no longer has time for at 69, why Self-Made didn't quite get it right and more.
A'Lelia Bundles has spent her life finding her own ground, as an Emmy award-winning network TV news producer and journalist, an author and activist. A'Lelia has written several books about her fascinating family and keeps their legacy alive as founder of the Madam Walker Family Archives and brand historian for MCJW, a line of hair care products inspired by Madam Walker. This year, A’Lelia appeared in the first ever Forbes 50 After 50 Impact list.
A'Lelia's latest book, The Joy Goddess of Harlem: A’Lelia Walker and the Harlem Renaissance, will be released in 2022. For more on A'Lelia, you can find her at www.aleliabundles.com. For more about Madam Walker, go to www.madamcjwalker.com
