Is fear getting in the way of your dreams? Do you want to put yourself out there some way but fear keeps stopping you in your tracks? Maybe you want to start or leave a relationship, launch a business, change career paths or move across the world but fear is weighing you down.
Let's be honest, the fear isn't going anywhere. You can either give up on what you want or 'feel the fear and do it anyway' to get to the other side. Easier said than done! In this episode I reveal what it actually feels like to 'feel the fear and do it anyway' so you know exactly what to expect.
Hey, I can't conquer your fear for you. But I can make the process a little less uncertain and reassure you that you're not alone in it.

In our very first interview, we talk with Disha Mistry Mazepa of the But What Will People Say podcast about self confidence, living and loving our lives on our own terms and the role that financial independence plays in being able to do so.
Disha's podcast started as one about interracial, interfaith and intercultural marriage / relationships. Over time, it has expaneded to include discussions about other topics that fall under the "log kya kahenge" mentality such as LGBTQ relationships, divorce, mental health, sexual assault, skin care, nutrition, disabilities, and more. Her own personal story is the inspiration for her podcast, as her relationship with her husband was kept a secret for years from her family out of fear of being disowned and the downright negative reactions she expected to receive from the SA community, especially her parents. She hopes that by sharing not just her story, but the stories of other men and women who have chosen to date outside of their own cultures, she will help provide a sense of hope and empowerment for those listening and also a chance for her guests to feel heard.
Disha's confidence and conviction to live her life on her terms and inspire others to do the same is inspiring. Tune in for a great interview!

Log kya kahenge? Meaning, 'what will people say?' is the most burdensome question many of us grew up with. For many of us, we watched as our families made - and expected us to make - important life decisions based on log kya kahenge? It's maddening, irrational and unhealthy. But it's also likely engrained in you now as it is in me. While it can be tough to shrug it off once it's so deeply wired within us, we can leverage reframing to make the instinctive jump to 'log kya kahenge' work for us. Learn how in this BONUS episode!
Please note, this audio comes from a video I originally created on this topic and shared to IGTV (are you following me on Instagram yet? @theselfworthedit). So, sound quality may not be as pristine as usual. I promise, the message is worth it.

Are you acknowledging and sharing your truth -- the good, bad and ugly -- or are you ignoring and hiding it? You've likely heard the saying, 'Instagram is a highlight reel.' We've accepted that people focus on sharing what appears good, successful and fun while completely ignoring sharing pain and failures. In this episode, we'll discuss what dangers this poses and why allowing yourself to be vulnerable is important. Speak your truth.

We are meant to tune into and listen to our emotions, they're present to guide us. Yet, so often for us South Asian women guilt has been mis-wired. We're taught that feeling guilty for self care and prioritization of our own needs is what is healthy and respectful. In reality, this self sacrifice does more harm than good both on the individual and community levels.
In this episode, I offer 3 techniques for side stepping toxic guilt you may face when making big life decisions. These include:
