What makes a group of people a social gathering versus a church?

There are so many commonalities between social gatherings and churches today that some might not be able to distinguish the difference between the two.

Specifically, we consider that churches should have unity. Unity is a mystery where 2 people come together to become one. We consider how churches can grow in their unity and steps to move towards a unified church.

The language of salvation is so elementary to Christians that we ignore what it means.

In the sermon, we consider what salvation is so that we can consider whether we are "saved" in our Christian lives or not. The hope is that as we understand salvation, a fruitful Christian life that shares and evangelizes will be a natural byproduct.

One of the most important things as Christian believers is talking to others about God, yet many have difficulty sharing. How do we get more comfortable?

We look at the life of the man born blind in John 9 and consider how he went from not going Jesus, to sharing boldly about Jesus. You are not far off from boldly talking about Jesus, so listen in and hopefully it encourages you to talk about Jesus more with those around you.

It is easy to talk about the kingdom of God if life is good, but what do we do if our situation is bleak and it feels like hell? What if we have tried and there seems to be no hope?
