Justin Chenier is an old buddy of mine. We met in Kingston, ON 17 years ago and I always found him to be a very upbeat positive guy. Like any friendship, the more time we spent the more comfortable we became with each other and the more we shared. He mentioned to me once about an incident that happened while he was a member of the Canadian Forces stationed in Wainwright, AB but didn't go into much detail.

A couple of years ago Justin was involved in a very traumatic bicycle accident that caused him a major physical injury and also brought back the memories of what happened to him in Wainwright over 20 years before.

Caution, some of what you'll hear in this discussion may be disturbing. Justin wanted to share to help others who are dealing with anxiety/depression and post traumatic stress disorder.

Karen Keane Patrick is my guest in this episode. She discusses her years long struggle with depression including two hospitalizations and an attempted suicide. Today Karen lives a happy life with her husband and their two teenage children but it took a lot of work to get to where she is now.
