I want to start off by saying that this episode discusses sexual trauma. If you are someone that is sensitive to this topic please proceed with caution as there may be triggers within the episode. Being married can have it's ups and downs but how does one tackle owning their cultural and ethnic idiosyncrasies while also being sensitive to their partners cultural and ethnic differences? Alycia opens her heart and allows herself to be vulnerable about the tough conversations that can be had in an interracial marriage.

As Kenosha WI, my home erupted in flames and chaos due to the killing of another black man, I didn't quite know how to process it. I am a therapist by profession and spend a lot of time helping others process and navigate their needs. I went through the week in motion of life but not really living life. I showed little emotion because I couldn't quite articulate what I was feeling. My husband asked me, "Babe, are you okay?" I sat there and I paused. I said...."No Im not okay but I will be okay."
