Today's episode feels so well-timed. As entrepreneurs and small business owners, we are and have been experiencing and witnessing a period of collective unrest and my guest Mark Silver has made it his mission in life to be a part of the healing process for heart-centered businesses.
During our conversation, we touch on what happens when big businesses get too big and what we can do to combat that, and most importantly that it's not the job of one or two people, but a lot of us banding together to make a massive positive impact on the world we all participate in.

This week's episode of the Shannon Show covers everything from setting boundaries with Southern and Midwest Moms to the struggle of self-advocacy when you're already low on spoons and who better to have this conversation with than the founder of the Neurodiversity Media Network herself, Briar Harvey?!
***Trigger Warning : Talks of mental health struggles***
In this episode, we discuss what makes a boundary and what is needed for an accommodation and how helpful it can be to have a plan for what's needed *before* it's needed, especially if you are prone to getting frazzled, going non-verbal or any number of challenges ND folks deal with when advocating for themselves. We also talk about the difference between nature based neurodivergence (i.e. Autism and ADHD) and nurture based neurodivergence (i.e. psychological trauma) and why that's important.
If you want to connect with Briar further, you can follow her on Facebook, Instagram or Threads.
