In 1978, director/writer John Carpenter and writer/producer Debra Hill unleashed a film that would go on to become the film to help lay the groundwork for what would later be referred to as the slasher genre; a film revered by aficionados as a classic of the genre - that film was HALLOWEEN. That film would also go on to spawn a sprawling franchise complete with blood relations, cults, androids, alternate timelines, reboots, remakes and so much more.
