The Sharon Spell Show

Singing the brand new Sharon Spell Show theme (that they just came up with) we welcome Girls With Brown Hair - Samantha Reece and Becky Chicoine - to share the guest star chair this week. We (with Sharon, Katie, and Jason) correctly use the word "interstitial" and discuss Becky's inclusion in Cameron Diaz's "Body Book". GWBH then tell us what it's like playing dads in their new webseries, before we all soak in the luxury of staying in a hotel in town.

Joe Pera (The Perfect Week, The Dan + Joe + Charles Show) jumps into the guest star chair this week to discuss - in detail, mind you - with Sharon, Katie, and Jason the phenomenon known as "Fish Kiss". We then discuss city feet in general, and Sharon's favorite "Which Way" books, before Jason tells a tender story of the subtle difference between Kleenex and Scotties.

With a worry about being "gay enough" to start things off, this week finds Eliot Glazer (Eliot's Sketchpad, Haunting Renditions) in the guest star chair. After a lengthy discussion about Drag Race with Sharon, Katie, and Jason, we all discuss extreme plastic surgery and how much we all hate vocal fry. The convo is then rounded out with the relic that is call-in radio and how hard it is to stay on top of your RSS feed. Truth!

Rebecca Vigil (The Vigilante, Broadway's Next Hit Musical) is in the guest star chair this week. She, along with Sharon, Jason, and Katie, discuss the pros and cons of Tindr at work before finding out how Rebecca's band, The Vigilante, got started. We then compare dessert ramen recipes before engaging in a heated debate about Easter candy. Down to Frown, folks!

We ("we" being Sharon, Jason, and Katie) are very pleased to welcome Lizz Winstead (Lady Parts Justice, The Daily Show) into the guest star chair this week. Lizz has some fantastic Thanksgiving turkey tips to share with you, and then gives us all the low-down on what's happening with Lady Parts Justice. We all then discuss life in a 1940's inhalarium and that time that Lizz officiated Frank DeCaro's wedding. But...excuse me...I think you have a little uterus on your shoulder...

Frank Liotti (Cats Talk Back) jumps into the ol' guest star chair this week to discuss, along with Sharon, Katie, and Jason, the perils of co-habitating with actors. We then muse upon orange paint jobs, and what one should do to pass the time during a hurricane. Frank then instructs us on how to take back power at an Irish bar open mic, and tells us his three wishes.

Opting for a cold open this week, instead of the usual smooth-as-silk slide into conversation, we welcome Natasha Rothwell (Take it Personal, Hodapp & Rothwell) into the guest star chair. She, along with Sharon, Jason, and Daniel, stand in awe of fridges for a moment before discussing the slight differences between a Wrap Room and a Rap Room. Natasha then discusses contending with the stories of hip hop stars AND surviving a year working at the Tokyo Comedy Store.

Trivia nights! Beefcake! Snake spines! We manage to cover all this and more this week with Andy Beckerman (Beginnings Podcast) in the ol' guest star chair. Andy, with backup claps from Sharon, Katie, and Sean, premieres his new song on heteronormativity. And we then get serious with a discussion on how trivia is a good replacement for pot use. We'll be right back....

As we hit our milestone 50TH EPISODE, we are pleased as Johnny Depp's hair to have MC Chris (mcchris.com) in the ol' guest star chair. Together with Sharon, Sean, and Katie, MC Chris discusses his latest album, completely based on "Ghostbusters". We also chat at length about Chicago, before preparing to sage Sean's office...

Speaking of Numbers! The guys from GrumpyFILMS, inc (Jason Jude Hill, Daniel Sears, and Grady Dennis) all squeeze into the one guest star chair to discuss their milestone of 100 short comedy videos produced and released on YouTube. Sharon, Sean, and Katie then jump in to discuss Lifetime Network remakes, Killer Karaoke, and nursing homes for parrots. And then there's a mysterious knock at the door...
