The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that Nakie Nunley, 48, of Fairfield, has been sentenced to six years in federal prison. This comes after he was convicted of four counts of sexual abuse of a ward, five counts of abusive sexual contact, and one count of making false statements. Nunley, a former staff member at the federal women’s prison in Dublin, admitted to abusing five women while supervising prisoners who worked for UNICOR. His actions occurred between March 2020 and November 2021, involving various sexual acts with multiple victims.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, 32, took to Facebook to announce her separation from husband Ryan Scott Anderson. The news follows just three months after her release from Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri. In a statement shared on social media, Blanchard expressed gratitude for her family's support as she navigates this new chapter. The couple, who wed in a jailhouse ceremony in July 2022, are parting ways after Blanchard's more than eight-year prison stint for her involvement in plotting her mother's murder.
