Welcome to Ep.51 where we talk to Chase Alderton in LA, Marketing Manager at Recharge, an ecommerce application that’s all about subscription sales - recurring sales that allow customers to set subscription-style purchases of products that they need again and again.
Chase has been with Recharge for 2+ years and is a big believer in disruption, and pushing people out of their comfort zones to get the strongest thinking and the best ideas.
In this podcast, we talk about how Covid 19 has affected ecommerce, ideas on how merchants can respond, and what sort of changes we can expect to come out of the crisis.
This Shopify expert interview will be interesting for every merchant who is already using subscriptions to increase their sales numbers, and for those who want to add subscription selling to their business.
Subscriptions work really well for products that people consume, or use up. Often these are in the food, skincare and beauty sectors and might include products like fitness nutrition, meals, groceries, toilet paper, skin care, soap and shampoo, tanning products and so on.
Chase’s mission is to educate, question, and challenge ecommerce merchants so he can help them make the best possible decisions with the information they have available.
Chase hails from Santa Barbara, and got his degree there, majoring in Psychology - A handy degree when doing anything based around human behaviour, like ecommerce! Before Recharge, Chase was with Estify, in a Marketing and Comms role.
Recharge Apps is a global business and started up in 2013, with 3 people building Shopify sites from an apartment, and calling themselves ‘Bootstrap Heroes’.
Recharge was born in 2014, to make online payments easier for everyone and they now help over 10,000 Shopify stores, making the sale of subscription products easy. For Merchants, that means selling and managing repeat orders in one powerful and simple, all-in-one platform.
Thank you from us, to Chase, and the team at Recharge for the insights and sharing your experiences, and predictions around the C-19 situation.
