In the first corner, the Silurian Hypothesis, which states that socially complex human beings have been on Earth for millions of years. In the second corner, the Solutrean Hypothesis, which states that early Native American technology was influenced by Europeans who came to the New World by crossing the Atlantic thousands of years ago.
