The rate of new coronavirus cases are up in 23 states. The states leading the charts include some of the largest: California, Texas, Florida and Arizona.
President Trump is refusing to answer the question on whether he asked for coronavirus testing to be slowed down, after saying it at a Saturday rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was asked during an interview with E.W. Scripps News Monday. The White House insisted the president was speaking "in jest" when he made the comment "slow the testing down."
The White House is also defending Trump's use of the racial slur "Kung Flu" to describe the Coronavirus. During a press conference Monday, the White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said, Trump was only pointing to the origin of the disease, China.
