The Skol Hop

We’re in that lull between mini-camp and training camp, which means we’re trying to figure out who will make the team and who will not. Dustin Baker’s article on VikesNow helped us identify some overlooked position groups that could matter a lot down the stretch. We also utilized a fun new tool at VikesNow.com that lets you build your own 53-man roster. And we can’t forget to mention the Red Rover Red Ale by Gezellig Brewing that was simply fantastic.      We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! No better way to celebrate summer than with a Citrus Smash IPA from No Coast Brewing! While we sipped on that we took a look at various Vikings uniforms and discussed which ones we like the best. Then we looked at an article from Vikings Territory that discussed what the Vikings could possibly do with $13 million in extra cap space before the season.   We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We decided to play a game called Muted Monday, and it definitely got us laughing! We also tried a possible top-ten beer from Confluence Brewing called the East Side Attitude Red Lager. It was awesome! Then we dissected an article from friend-of-the-show Dustin Baker over at Vikings Territory where he listed the top 5 Biggest Losers of the Vikings Offseaon.  We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We sipped on Captain Limewire from Confluence Brewing while we discussed all things regarding the Vikings offseason so far. Austin made a promise that we wouldn’t allow the quarterback discussion to overtake the show, and we followed through on that for the most part. We discussed the draft, free agency, a new GM, and plenty of other things. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We took a trip down memory lane and recapped our first experiences at Vikings games, as well as a few of our other favorite in-person experiences watching our favorite team play. Evan’s first Vikings game was a matchup against Tampa Bay back in 2001 at the Metrodome. Austin’s first game was a 2004 game against the Bears, also at the Metrodome. We also talked about a few other games we’ve attended. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We were hungry, so we ate some wings. Evan reveals what “spicy” wings mean to him. We also played an off the cuff word association game that led us to talking about the QB drama in Minnesota, of course! Evan is still on Team Kyler and Austin is still on Team JJ. While nothing has changed there, we still found plenty to discuss. And we enjoyed a beer from Jackson Street Brewing, that was really good! We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! The Vikings hired a new GM, Nolan Teasley, who was the assistant GM with the Super Bowl winning Seahawks. This is exciting news for Vikings fans, and we dig into what the implications of this hire could be for our favorite team. And, just like so many previous episodes, we talked about the conundrum at Quarterback. Austin has an opinion, Evan has another. The fighting gloves may have come out. We also tried beer from a new brewery tonight! Bremer Brewing Company out of Waverly, Iowa was behind the BB Beer Bash DDH Hazy IPA and boy, was it good! We really enjoyed Confluence’s Little Green Men Pistachio Cream Ale! Great beer, would recommend. Evan brought a little gift that we’ll add to the Skol-mand Center too! Then we got into a projected Vikings 53-man roster and talked about which positions are already locked in and which are not. We also discussed a list of possible breakout players that the Vikings could see this year. All in all, it might be our best episode yet!  We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We tried a Rice Lager from Adventurous Brewing called Bokenteki, which was really good! Then we dove into the Vikings 2026 schedule and talked about patterns we noticed, games we’re interested in, and even early ticket prices. Hopefully we’re able to get to a game this year! Lots to talk about this week as the busy time of the NFL offseason winds down and we head into the summer. First, we enjoy Front Street’s Blue Jacket Blueberry Blonde. If you’re looking for a blueberry beer that doesn’t try to do too much, this might be it. Then we talk about the recent Jauan Jennings signing and other pickups the Vikings have made post-draft. We also previewed the Vikings 2026 opponents and made some predictions about the schedule release coming up this week. Lastly, we talk about the most recent Vikings player to be inducted into the Ring of Honor at US Bank Stadium. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us!
