The Skol Hop

Joined by friend of the show Forrest, we figured it would be a great time to enjoy a few of Field Day Brewing’s “Bro”-themed beers. We enjoyed their Bromance and Brodelo beers. We kicked things off with a round of The Initials Game. Austin is pretty good at it, and it may have something to do with the fact that the initials we picked are also his initials. After that, we looked at a few graphics (Thanks Vikes Verified!) outlining the potential impact the Bears and Vikings draftees could have on their new teams. It will be fun to see how things shape up as they suit up and play!We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! Austin brought the beer this week, and it was a doozie…in a good way! We enjoyed some Purple Reign from 7 Hills Brewing, and much like some of the draft picks, we were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Then we each gave an overall grade for the Vikings in the draft. We both felt this draft left a little to be desired. Some picks were better than others, though, and there is some reason to be excited. We looked at some of the awesome names on the Vikings UDFA list too. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! This episode is all about the upcoming NFL Draft! After a few weeks of quiet, we are grateful that Vikings news is on the rise. Voluntary offseason workouts started today, and a few key pressers, so we chatted about that. Then, we looked ahead to the NFL Draft later this week and each of us did our own mock draft, and then we did one together. We also enjoyed a beer (or seltzer) from Adventurous Brewing called Puree, and it was…interesting…but good!We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! Evan had to pay up on the Malort bet for losing the NCAA Bracket Challenge. Then we played a few games. Austin quizzed Evan over historical Vikings first rounders at various positions, then Evan gave Austin a list of 10 current TEs and Austin blind ranked them Meh, Good, Great, and Goat. Lastly, we took a look at a Vikings Territory article written by friend of the show Dustin Baker that ranked the 5 most recent Vikings drafts. We're missing Evan this week, but Austin is very excited to talk with Friend of the Show Dustin Baker! Austin asks Dustin his opinions on the upcoming NFL Draft and what the Vikings should do with their first pick. The guys also talked about some of the worst 1st round picks in Vikings history, do you agree with the list Dustin put together? Finally Dustin provides an interesting opinion on just how warm the head coach's seat is at the moment.

We tried a beer we’ve never had before: Zach’s Mexican Donuts from SingleSpeed! It was pretty great! We also played a game from our childhood, with some stakes. Spoiler alert: Evan wins. We also checked our March Madness brackets. Evan’s winning there too with one week to go. Finally we got down to business and talked about Vikings free agency, despite the quiet stretch we’re currently experiencing. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! It’s been a long time in the making, but we finally have our very own That’s Badass Woodart custom piece that we’ve been waiting for! It looks great in our Skolmand Center. Be sure to watch the video on YouTube or Spotify to see what it looks like. We also gave an update on our NCAA Bracket challenge. Looks like Evan has the slight edge, but anything is possible heading into the Sweet 16. And of course, we continue talking about Vikings free agency moves. Are we living in an alternate reality? So many *different* things about this weeks’ episode. We don’t have beer for the first time in episode history. Not for any specific reason, we just didn’t have any beer. Weird. Also, Austin hasn’t picked an NCAA bracket in years, so of course Evan peer-pressured him into it. We even made a little Malort Bet on our picks - loser takes a shot. Of course we had to cover all of the news to date in Vikings free agency. It still doesn’t feel real that Kyler Murray is a Viking. We share our thoughts on that acquisition as well as all of the other Vikings moves so far. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! It was a busy week for the Vikings as things began to move and shake towards the eventual 53 man roster of the 2026 season. There were some surprises, some no-brainers, and several question marks that remain to be seen. We try to cover as much as possible, but there will inevitably be more! We played the Lying Game again, and I think we did better this time around! We also enjoyed Fruit Fuzzies from SingleSpeed Brewing! We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us! We sipped on a really nice beer from Exile Brewing, their Forage Nut Brown Ale. Delicious! Then we kicked things off with our own little version of Lying Game, which was pretty fun! Then we settled down to talk about all things Vikings free agents, who should stay and who should go. We hope you’ll grab your favorite beverage and join us!
