It’s supposed to be a place of thrills, laughter, and unforgettable memories. But in summer 2015, an afternoon at Alton Towers, turned into a living nightmare. 

One rollercoaster - The Smiler - came to a catastrophic halt and what followed was one of the most serious roller coaster accidents in UK history.
