Some choose to have a cosy night in watching horror films.. some get dressed up in costumes and go knocking on neighbours doors.. Some get invited to halloween parties. None of them expect to have vanished by morning. 

Todays case has all of the elements of a classic horror story.. a halloween party after dark.. a chilling find near a cemetery.. except, this isn’t a made up spooky tale. This is real life. And for one family, they would be unable to wake up from the nightmare…

On Halloween night in 2001, 21 year old Cindy Song went out to celebrate with her friends. 

She was a bright, beautiful and hard working university student, with her whole life ahead of her. 

But by the early hours of the morning, she was gone...

Somewhere between that night out and the following morning, Cindy vanished without a trace. The community were left with one haunting question: what happened to Cindy Song?

Deep in the woods, surrounded by trees and miles from the noise of the outside world, sits a quiet family cabin. It’s the kind of place you might think of as the perfect setting for a couples getaway. 

But in summer 2021, the silence was broken by the sound of a police car pulling up. Bart and Krista Halderson were supposed to be enjoying a weekend away.. but had completely vanished. 

As investigators began trying to piece together where this seemingly ordinary couple had gone, they would uncover a story far more disturbing than anyone could have imagined.

On a quiet evening in January 2018, an extraordinary horror was about to be revealed. All it took was one young girl and one decision - the decision to fight for her life. On September 11th, 2001, the world watched in horror as terrorists hijacked four planes, brought down the Twin Towers, and carried out sickening attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.  It was a day of unimaginable loss and tragedy.

Miles from civilisation, surrounded by some of the largest predators on Earth, Timothy Treadwell lived among wild grizzly bears. 

He named them.. he spoke to them.. he believed he understood them. And maybe most dangerous of all, he believed they understood him. 

But in October 2003, deep in the Alaskan wilderness, Timothy and his girlfriend Amie disappeared. What happened next would leave behind one of the most disturbing tragedies in the history of human encounters with wildlife.. 

One swipe. That’s all it can take to let a stranger into your life. You might think you’re choosing someone based on a photo and a few lines of text, but you have no idea who is sitting on the other side of the screen.
