Penelope Sky does it again. Honestly, she has not written a single book that we have not been OBSESSED with. We meet Bartholomew (we shall call him B man), head of the Mafia. He is looking to expand his business and take over the Skull King's territory. To get a leg up on the all mighty Skull King, he finds out he has an estranged daughter, Laura. His plan is to use Laura to get what he wants. Enter Laura. No ties to the mafia, doesn't speak to her father (hates him really), lives a quiet, peaceful life minding her own business. Sparks ignite when he walks into her shop. He immediately wants her in his bed (his plan hits a hard stop), she is intrigued by him, but knows by the look of him he's a criminal and wants no part of that life. They agree to one night. One night turns into more, feelings start popping up, danger finds them, betrayal, love, heartbreak. This book has it all. This is a 2 part series, and you will not be able to put it down until the very last word.

Age gap. What is the appropriate gap to be considered ok? Or is age just a number? Enter Higgest Bidder. Oh Sara Cate. You did us dirty.

We meet Ronan, a rich, 56 year old silver fox, who is an investor in the Salacious Players Club. He likes to attend the club's auctions and bid on girls for a night of fun. His wife and son were killed many years ago, and his summer love from 9 years ago Shannon, only wanted a fling so she left. He isn't interested in love, just fun.

Daisy. A 21 year old bartender at Salacious Players Club, has come into town to find none other then Ronan. Why you ask? Well she received a large trust fund of 1 million dollars when her mother passed, and the name on the money is Ronan's. She's in town to find out why he gave her mother that kind of money and until she does she refuses to spend a dime. Instead she lives in her car, and gets her water from a gas station (eye roll).

As you can probably guess, shit goes down, they get nasty, the sex is hot....but what we can't seem to get on board with is that Daisy calls him "Daddy". Not sure if it's because he legit could be dad because the age gap is so big, if it's because he used to date and fuck her mother, or because we just don't like the nickname (well Morgan hates it, Jillian can get on board.....sometimes).

Age gap for us is fine, IF the (in this case) 21 year old, doesn't act her age. Unfortunately, Daisy acts like a 21 year old, so we couldn't figure out why Ronan wanted her, unless it was because he's a fixer and needed a project. Let us know what you think.

Our first male/male romance book. The only male on male action we have read before was when it was a threesome situation with a girl. When a girl is apart of the mix its easy to see yourself there in the scenario, we didn't have that in this book. The sex scenes in this book were great. Very hot and very sexy, however, we obviously aren't professionals when it comes to what happens in the bedroom normally, we were a little lost, but we certainly learned a lot.

We first met Giulio in the previous three books, he is the son of Fausto, the mafia boss. He left the mafia because he is gay and has been in hiding since because they frown upon the lifestyle. Because Fausto has enemies, that means that Giulio is always in danger, and this book is based around an assassin that is hired to kill Giulio. Enter Alessio. Giulio is Alessio's mark, however, Alessio would rather look and fuck then kill, but thats not how life works in his line of business. He follows Giulio to a club one night and ends up in a dark corner with Giulio on his knees.....everything changes at this point. Giulio ends up finding out who Alessio is, they talk and agree to a fuck now and kill later situationship. That doesn't work out, shocking we know, but the ride sure it worth it.

Mia Stone, an ex-FBI agent has been asked for her help on a case in a small town by her sheriff friend, Pete. After a tough case with the FBI, quitting her job, and helping her mother, she decides to move there for a fresh start to help out. She learns quickly that this small mining town has a murder problem and at the very top of her suspect list is the Volk family. Enter Seth Volk. Immediately she feels a strong pull to Seth. In her gut she knows he's not the killer of this case, but knows that he has killed before. She is intrigued, but unable to let go of her trust issues and continues pursuing him as a suspect, as well as his brother and father. Seth likes Mia, has the same pull to her, and doesn't care that she's a cop. He gets under her skin on purpose, but he has a massive secret that he doesn't want her to know. That secret, as you have probably guessed by the book title, is that he's a wolf. Obviously this causes issues that neither of them can avoid, especially after she accidently finds out the towns secret. Not only is Seth a wolf but the entire town in run by them. Drama, sex, murder, and feelings make this book an amazing read, Rebecca Zanetti never disappoints.

The Brit- We meet Rose and Danny Black, two people who have been broken by people in their lives and who lead lives they don't want. Rose is a whore to the elite, she is cold and emotionless and is controlled by a terrible man who holds her past over her head to get what he wants. Danny Black has just been given the key to run the mafia by the only person he has ever loved. He doesn't want it but feels obligated to continue tradition. Of course, when 2 people get together that probably shouldn't be, its pure chaos. He is mean, she doesn't even flinch. He wants her to show emotion, she refuses. However, because of this he feels pulled to her, and they both realize they are much more alike then they believe. The sexual chemistry between them is fire hot, but sex doesn't a relationship make, they both need to figure their shit out if they want anything to work between them.

The Enigma- Beau, a cop, has lost her mom, and in that loss, has completely self destructed. She wants justice that people refuse to give her. James is a true enigma in this book. You always think one thing about him but find out it something different. A hard to read character, however, the one thing that isn't complex are his feelings for Beau. He is obsessed with her, and she has found someone that finally elicits some kind of emotion from her. Her desire to hang on to those feelings develops into actual real life feelings for James. Things aren't always what they seem in this story, but the author does an amazing job of giving the reader the inability to stop reading because you NEED TO KNOW what in the hell is happening.

This week we are featuring 3 different books written by 3 different authors. These amazing ladies were kind enough to send us their books, so review them we shall.

Forged- Becky Banks

Best friends from a young age, turned to young love and then heartbreak. The girl does the heartbreaking in this book when she leaves town to chase a life bigger than what she has and the guy has never recovered. She comes back and he is having none of it, wants nothing to do with her, but their lives keep pushing them back together. She's ready to move forward, but he just can't seem to move on from the past.

Lawsuit and Leather- Vivian Mae

This book kept us on our toes. You have 2 story lines in this book that the author does an amazing job bringing together. We have 2 best friends that both have feelings for each other, but neither act on it. They both move on with other people. A girlfriend that is annoying and rude, and a boss that is sexy and alluring, but breaks the fine line between professional and....not. Who chooses whom, this is a 2 book series so the story line continues.

Partner Track-Cat Wynn

Forced to be enemies because they are both lawyers that work against each other. They get snowed in together and the sexual tension can no longer be ignored. We loved the push and pull and the slow burn of this book.

We had to come back and review the final book (book 4) of the Queens and Monsters Series. The first 3 were top notch, but did the 4th book live up to our very high JT expectations? YES! We meet Spider a couple books ago, he's the enforcer, the bodyguard, the number 2 to Declan, but we never really got a solid connection with him because we were focused on other characters. This book does an amazing job of building him up and explaining what he is all about. In this book, Declan has asked Spider to marry the a woman of another mob family so that the families can become more powerful. Spider agrees, what he finds is his 18 year old soon to be bride, what we wants is the bride's aunt Reyna. Reyna is a boss ass bitch, we love her, we are obsessed with her, she is powerful, and strong, and everything we want in our woman characters. They have a very hate relationship in the beginning but its laced with a lot of sexual tension. As the book progresses so do they, so does their relationship as a whole, the plot line is wild, and the sex....well if you know the work of JT, you know its hot and sexy and everything your sexual fantasies are about.

Pleasure read: The Wolf and the Sheep by Penelope Sky

Alpha ex marine Logan thinks he is over love and women and can live his bodyguard loner lifestyle in peace in the mountain.  Enter Cadie.  Cadie is the sister of his boss, John, the owner of the security firm Orion Protection where Logan is employed.  Cadie has her life together and wants nothing to do with her brothers business or men in general until she runs into Logan at a holiday party.   Cadie shoots her shot, Logan turns on the charm, but alcohol wins and nothing happens.  Danger is the plot line, its a good one, but Cadie has no fucks to give, and Logan gives her a taste....the slow burn is EVERYTHING.   

Pleasure reading: Black Ties & White Lie by Kat Singleton

Sex and politics. This is the first book we have read that mixes the two.  We are all for sex but we don't love politics. Regardless, we decided to give it a go and see what all the hype was about.  We meet Greer at a very young age.  She is the granddaughter of a former vice president, and is thrown right into the party scene by her grandfather who uses her as a sort of spy, she likes doing this, and quickly becomes immersed in the political scene.  The book skips ahead 10 years and then backwards 5.  In both of these time jumps we meet Embry and Maxen.  Embry is the current day vice president and Maxen, also known as Ash, is the current day president.  The love triangle of these 3 individuals runs deep, but as we find out, nothing is ever as it seems.  Is love enough or is there a line that once crossed means you can't really go back?

This weeks pleasure read: Hannaford Prep by J. Bree

We reviewed the first book of the, The Bonds that Tie series, and holy shit....we are obsessed.  During recording Morgan was already on book 5 and couldn't put it down, Jillian was well on her way through the 2nd book.  We are read a lot of paranormal romance books, a lot of RH books, and a mix of both.  We have never read anything like this and we are loving it.  The characters, the plot, the idea behind the story line.....we could go on and on.  We meet the main character Oleander, or Oli, she is one of the most fierce woman characters we have come across and we love her.  The men, North, Nox, Gryphon, Gabe, and Atlas all have their own stories and connections to Oli.  They are all destined to be together, but sometimes the universe has other plans.  Listen to this episode and for gods sake READ this book series, you won't regret it.
