The Snake's Paw

Remember those sharks in tornadoes? Why didn't they ever fight other weather-borne apex predators? And what could we do to make their battle . . . scientific?

Matthew's first novella, Her Changing Face, is out now! Andrew, Jack, and Matthew discuss the book in detail and offer some insight into what it's about.

Topics discussed include: our wild house parties of yesteryear that inspired the opening scene, the fact that the "Prelude" takes of 76% of the book, the difficulties of self-publishing, transgressive amateur strip clubs, how our personal experiences influence our writing, whether or not the book is sexy, the unusual structure of the story, and how awesome Andrew and Jack think the book is.

A note for listeners: we have a video version of this episode on the YouTube channel. It's mostly just our beautiful faces talking along with the same audio you can hear on the podcast, but it also includes a look at a proof of the book and a few pictures from the parties we discuss.

The Snake's Paw crew gets invited to pitch a movie idea at an undersea VR conference . . . and in no time, the ocean (and outer space) are infested with voodoo-cursed CGI sharks who just want to sing.
