Anything can become an addiction if it begins to take the place of God in our hearts.

Addictions don’t always look like the “big ones”—busyness, gossip, or people-pleasing can be just as consuming.

The question to ask: “Can what I’m chasing only truly be found in Christ?”

Take a few minutes this week to ask yourself: What am I giving most of my time, energy, and attention to? If it’s anything other than Jesus, talk to Him about it. Invite Him to help you loosen your grip and redirect your heart back to Him. Freedom begins with honesty.
