Eric Kussin founder of The same here global Mental health movement shares his story of trauma and how he overcame it. The movement has pro athletes from around the world sharing their Mental health stories. He discussed how Stanley Cup champion and Gold medalist Theo Fleury became involved in the movement. Theo also bravely shares his past trauma and how he coped with it.

Elijah is a licensed social worker working in NYC as a medical social worker. He describes the disparities the health care field and assisting clients during the pandemic. He also has a private practice and does private practice working with his mom. He discuses his advocacy work while interning with NY State Senator Gustavo Rivera and Manhattan borough President Gayle Brewer.

Tiyanna a licensed social worker in NYC, started her company TSPEAKSNYC, targeting young girls ages 11-17 providing workshops on mental health and body image. She discusses having to pivot in 2020 regarding the things she had planned with her company and how she overcame her obstacles.

Silva works with individuals that suffer from sexual trauma, psychosexual behaviors and couples therapy. We discuss using the term "sex addiction" is incorrect in his work. He explains why.

As a continuation of The Social Worker Spotlight Series, the host interviews Shaina, a licensed clinical social worker in California. A social worker for 18 years, specializing in individuals, families and the LGBTQ community. Paula, a licensed social worker from my hometown of The Bronx aka Wakanda. She provides coaching to community based organizations and individuals in The Bronx. She has worked with educators, women of color to enrich and enhance their relationships. She has also provided morale workshops for community based organizations. As part of #TheSocialWorkerSpotlightSeries, had the pleasure of interviewing Tabatha. We discuss the formation of her small business in 2020, The 4 Air Project @the4airproject on IG. She hosts events for children in her community in Queens, NY. We discuss how she set up her LLC. We also talk about the struggles she faces providing client services through zoom, finding ways to be creative to engage with her clients.
