During the month of February we are in a series on having courage in life, love and relationships. From the outset I want to say that in no way do I have any of this figured out, but I hope to share with you some of what I have learned along the way. Today we are focusing on how you can have the courage to communicate in every area of your life. In this conversation I am joined by my friend Ruth Mullen. Today I am chatting with an amazing woman whose story will amaze you. Married to her college sweetheart, she and her husband started a life that young women dream of. Then the unthinkable happened, and her husband and brother in law both died in a tragic accident. Now a young widow and mother of a toddler, Holly went on a journey of healing her broken heart and rebuilding her life.
Holly is the Executive Director of Hope Women's Center, an unplanned pregnancy health clinic. Even though Holly was raised in a pastor's home and is married to a pastor, the fulfillment and calling she feels from the Lord for this ministry has impacted her deeply. Holly has been ministering all over the country for over 15 years sharing at churches, conferences, universities, and organizations about how God turned the ashes of tragedy and loss in her life into beauty and restoration. She is co-author of Dancing on My Ashes with her sister Heather. Holly previously served as Vice President of Marketing with Pursuant, a full-service fundraising agency to nonprofits. Holly lives in McKinney with her husband Aaron who is a Pastor at The Parks Church which they planted with three other couples seven years ago. They have three children: Emma (19), Malachi (14), and Ava (10).

In this minisode, I'm talking all about tackling your fear and how that starts with what you believe about your life and your future. What do you do when doubt rears its ugly head? In this week's minisode, we are going to be tackling the subject of doubt and how important it is to overcome our insecurities before they become the truth you believe about your life. When you allow negative thoughts creep in or cloud your judgment, you are giving room to anxiety to take root. You can do whatever it is that you set yourself to do. The only limitation is what you believe about achieving it. To access today's show notes head over to www.thecouragecast.com.
