Despite feeling hopeful most days, today I feel hopeless. I talked about current issues and how polarizing they can be for all people. People are picking sides and some are doing it blindly. I challenge us to think logically and critically. We don't have to agree, but we have become extremely harmful to each other. It's time to really seek to treat each other with dignity and respect. 

I've felt guilt before for having such an amazing dad in comparison to the stories I've heard from people I know who wish they had their fathers in their lives. Black sons need their fathers. I have a great one! On this Father's Day weekend 2020 I would like to share my experience with (no cliche) "Worlds Greatest Dad". 

Today is what I like to call the most famous obscure holiday ever known to man! Today is Juneteenth (June 19th) a day back in 1865 a Union general gave a proclamation to some confederates that slavery was over. But wait?....Didn't the Emancipation Proclamation do that 2 years prior? Tune in for the conversation. 

I think often about my Mortality. I think of if I were to succumb to a death experience surrounding injustice a lot. George Floyd's death and many others have shown me how people would go out of their way to ensure that narratives of untrue and even bad information circulates about you. It is important to know where the people around you stand on issues and be very vigilant of their behavior. As a muslim can only imagine authorities finding my personal firearms, my Quran and all my islamic literature a build a narrative that I am radical and a working terrorist. This Show explores a recent conflict I had with someone who it thought had more balance when it comes to issue only to tell her that I didn't think she would be the person to Who would defend my true character. 

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the news for statements he made regarding the kneeling during the national anthem. His comments has attracted harsh criticism from teammates and sports commentators that include retired NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe. I share a story of why I don't personally care about how people feel about the flag. 

George Floyd is finally laid to rest. I talk about the impact his death is having on the entire world. I also address the real enemy that we are up against. The ones who are certainly hateful and will go out of their ways to marginalize and minimize the struggles and experiences of other people. I truly believe we are in a water shedding event. Allah knows best. #GeorgeFloyd

A White female police chief stepped down and gave her office to a black man Today. Crazy or Commendable? Or neither. There are so many questions. In this episode I explore and commentate on the recent news of Portland Police Chief Jami Resch stepping down in the wake of protest and civil unrest. The New Portland Police chief is now Chuck Lovell. This is HUGE for the city of Portland and there are very interesting times ahead. Tune in to see why this is bigger than just the city of Portland. 

This is the biggest taboo for me. It has put some folks in some very uncomfortable situations. In the wake of all this social and civil unrest, people are really expressing their sentiments and views on the situation. If you don't agree and become upset and bothered when your co-workers post these things, it's now time to delete them. Trust me.....you are going to save your physical and mental health. 

I explore a very sensitive and important issue in the fight for social justice. Good white people are stressed out. Black folks what do we want white people to do and say?? Should they speak out or not speak at all? Many are really wanting to support in certain groups, but find themselves reprimanded by people of color and reluctant to say anything at all. The Phrase "Silence is Violence" is very provoking and can actually put road blocks in our grassroots social movements. #GeorgeFloyd
