Today we sit down with Chase Grubbs and Jim Ronquest of Turkeys for Tomorrow (TFT)! Turkeys for Tomorrow is a brand new non-profit looking to help benefit the wild turkey with scientific research. We dig in to how they got started, the model for their organization, how they feel they can make a difference, where they see the organization going in the next 10 years, the research projects they have already funded in Alabama, how more studies can help us turn around the decline of turkeys across the southeast and how YOU can get involved!

Today on the show Jacob and Michael sit down with Travis Sumner of the NWTF to talk turkey, and more specifically, talk about turkey habitat & management.
For this episode we traveled to Montgomery to have a discussion with the folks who make our hunting & fishing laws here in Alabama. We speak with director Chuck Sykes, as well as a panel of some of his closest chiefs, directors, and/or advisors. We focus in on the discovery of CWD in Alabama, and discuss subjects such as the fact that this is not the end of deer hunting in Alabama, what the state did to prepare for this ahead of time, why hunters should be concerned but not panicked, some widely held misconceptions about the states response, how some regulations might not have the kind of impact you think, what the future holds and how to stay informed on regulation changes as well as opportunities for you to interact with the people in charge of changes in public meetings.

On this outtro Andrew, Michael and Jacob discuss post season scouting in the south and the reasons we think a lot of people don't find sheds in the south. Jacob tells us another Subi Story about how him and his buddy Marshal fumble their way to killing a very nice Arkansas 11 point.
Rusty Johnson and Nathan Killen have several things in common, things like consistnely tagging some of the biggest bucks in their area, and a love for post season scouting & shed hunting. Both Rusty and Nathan attribute a lot of their success to the work they are putting in right now to learn their woods, sharpen their wordsmanship skills, locate surviving bucks and find sheds. We got Nathan and Rusty on at the same time to dive into this subject and share their knowledge, as well as bounce things off one another. As Nathan says in this episode, iron sharpens iron and the guys get into a lot of great information here. Make sure you share this podcast with a buddy and leave us a 5 star review on itunes!
