the sparkling creative

Are you afraid of your dreams?

You know the sort of dream that makes you stick out like a sore spot.

I'm not talking about the dreams you're supposed to have, like having children, finding a partner, or buying a home,…. Nope, I'm talking about the ones you know you'll be judged for.

The dreams that underline that you are different.

Now let's dive deep and explore these dreams and how you can honor them best.

Journal Prompts from today's episode:

Take note of all fears, limiting beliefs, or doom thinking you might find yourself with. Write them all down.

• Where is this coming from?
• Is there a specific voice that you hear?
• What is the worst thing that can happen?
• What do you feel when you think about this?
• Where do you feel this in your body?

Ask as many questions as you can to get a good grip on where this is coming from.

As creators, we can get into a habit of aiming to create more and more finished pieces so we can sell some more. We can get overwhelmed by commissioned pieces and lose track of the creational process.

However losing your creational process, stopping to develop your craft, and letting go of free creative play will kill your creative business.

So let's start the conversation and explore how we as artists can create a process-centred art practice.

Creating art isn't a ready overnight kind of process.

Creating art means allowing for time to develop your artistic voice, to allow experimentation, and exploration, and to allow for time to reflect and explore the vibration of your creative work.

Over the past five years, I pulled back out of the public eye, to allow for time to create and explore. To give myself the freedom to develop my artistic voice on a deeper, more intense level.

Today I'll invite you to join me in a vulnerable reflection on that time and the challenge I faced feeling the need for time and the creative ambition pushing me forward, two very contrary needs that pushed and pulled.

I'll be sharing with you the wonderful gift this time and my insights and learnings so you can take them with you into your creative practice and life.

As an artist, your creative practice is the centerpiece of your business and life.

It's the one thing everything depends upon-

At times this means we feel the pressure, we feel pushed into creating an empty tank. I know the feeling very well, that's why I would love to take you with me on a journey into developing your very own creative practice.

I'll be sharing how I nurture my creativity and my favorite tips and tricks, so you can take what works for you and make it your own.

Let's dive into the conversation.

Reflection Questions:

• How can you bring in creative play?
• What does it take for you to make your art practice a daily essential?
• What do you desire your art practice to be like?
• How do you want your art practice to feel like?

I've been holding back talking and sharing about my work for a few years now, but it's finally time to take you with me into the studio.

It's been very important to my development as an artist to focus inward and get clarity before going out into the world sharing.

Focusing on creation, introspection, and my practice has gigantic benefits because now I'm back with a couple of new collections ready to share.

I'll be launching them throughout the year.

Today I'd love to share about my process and what happened in the past few years. So tune in while I get very vulnerable sharing…

In today's episode, I'll be sharing with you the secret of success, the magic that helps you build a thriving creative business with ease and flow.

Yes, I know a big promise, but I know for sure it's true.

This magic sauce I'm talking about is easier and cheaper than you ever through possible and it's already in your possession.

A few prompts just in case you get stuck here:

• What does living my creative dream look like?
• What would I create and do if money wasn't an issue?
• What am I done with, and want to change right this second?

Give yourself at least 15 minutes to sit with the question, write down what comes up for you, and possible follow-up questions
