The SportsEthos Sacramento Kings Podcast

Game 1 of the regular season is in the books… and it was a disaster.

Buddy’s hot start.

Back and forth game that left a lot to be desired.

De’Arron’s foul trouble and its impact.

This looked like the last game after a long road trip.

The Suns defensive intensity really bothered the Kings in the 3rd quarter.

Too many turnovers, not enough assists.

Ricky Rubio’s impact.

ISO ball.

Disaster. In every sense of the word.

What’s next?

On the eve of the 2019-20 NBA season and 2 days before the start of the Kings season we talk with Aaron Bruski…

What was Bruski keeping an eye on during preseason?

Whats Buddy’s dollar figure?

Should Richaun Holmes start?

The over?

Can Harry Giles play his way back into the rotation?

Important fantasy players?

We close out with some thoughts on Harry Giles and Luke Walton’s announcement he won’t make the opener.

Two more days! Don’t miss a single episode of the Sacramento Kings Podcast.

The shorthanded Kings dominate Melbourne United at the Golden One Center to wrap up their 2019 preseason.

Huge games from Marvin Bagley and Yogi Ferrell.

Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic were both offered contract extensions.

I don’t expect Bogi to sign his at all.

It seems the Kings and Buddy aren’t far apart but why that number might be significantly larger than it appears.

We discuss the implications of these two contracts and what happens if one or both don’t sign them.

Kings win what I think is their most important game of the preseason.

A big first half leads to a 128-115 victory of the Utah Jazz.

De’Aaron Fox leaves the game with back soreness.

Marvin Bagley’s double-double.

Richaun Holmes impact.

What to expect Wednesday.

Kings top the Suns 105-88 for their first win of the preseason.

Lot’s of positives to take away from this game…

Increased movement defensively.

Rebounding.

Richaun Holmes.

A couple of thoughts on Phoenix and the status of Harry Giles.

The Kings are back home from India with an 0-2 preseason record.

What are the legitimate concerns coming out of these games?

What can be chalked up to not enough practice and a lot of travel?

The starting line ups and closing line ups were different.

Defense is something Luke Walton will continue to have to focus on.

Rebounding a problem?

Honest takeaways from the trip to India and what are we looking for now?

The Sacramento Kings are several days into their trip to India but one notable name is hanging around Sac. Harry Giles didn’t make the trip to India in order to rest… or rehab… or both.

What we do, and don’t know about Giles and his absence from competitive basketball.

Also, what are the teams expectations for themselves this season. We’ve heard what fans think, we’ve heard what media thinks - but what about Buddy? Or DeArron?

Preseason games Friday and Saturday morning on NBA TV and NBCSN. 6:30am.

Media day is in the books, as are the first 2 practices of the Sacramento Kings training camp.

Luke Walton spoke to the media for the first time since his introductory press conference and he had a lot of intriguing things to say about the Kings and their direction.

Pace and defense. Can one team handle both? Luke Walton thinks so.

Are we looking at the competitiveness of the Western Conference the wrong way?

Coming up Thursday, what are the expectations for the Kings this year? Not fans expectations, not media expectations, but what did the players and coaches have to say about this upcoming season?
