The Steel City Insider: With Jim Wexell & Jeremy Hritz

The Steelers were active before the trade deadline, but did not pull the trigger to improve the roster. And, with a quick turnaround this week for a Thursday Night contest against the Titans, the team will have to show they can compete and win without Minkah Fitzpatrick, and potentially Kenny Pickett.

Join Jim Wexell and Jeremy Hritz as they welcome Mike DeFabo from The Athletic to the show to discuss the Steelers pursuit of a corner via a trade, the current state of the Steelers, and the matchup on Thursday with the Titans. Mike is super insightful and shares some solid takes that help you prepare for this week’s contest.

The Steelers got it done, but it wasn’t pretty.

Join Jim Wexell and Jeremy Hritz as they discuss the Steelers 26-22 victory over AFC North foe Cleveland, including the solid play of the outside linebackers, the ugliness of the offense, and the second subpar game for Kenny Pickett. Enjoy the win and have a great week!

For the all the preseason enthusiasm surrounding the Steelers, the regular season started with a whimper. And a painful one at that, as not only did the team lose 30-7 to the San Francisco 49ers, but they lost several key veterans to injury for an extended period of time. Couple that with an impending contest against a hot AFC North for Monday Night, and things are all of a sudden looking sketchy.

Join Jim Wexell and Jeremy Hritz as they discuss the Steelers injuries, the dismal performances in the loss, and what to expect in week #2 at Acrisure Stadium. Can Kenny Pickett and company regroup and capture a win? Listen in and find out.
