In the storage closet, Poppy has a hard time reacting to Tora's confession. She finds herself wanting to express herself but unable to. Luckily, Tora is understanding, and their subsequent kiss deepens into some more exploration.

Tora respectfully asks to look at her (can't say the same for Poppy's biting  😉), and Poppy holds on for just a moment before succumbing to embarrassment.

Nevertheless, she does love seeing Tora blossom, and thinks about the difference in their openness.

Despite the situation's steaminess, they are rudely interrupted by Quincy and Erdene looking for them and gossiping about them. Poppy and Tora walk about confidently and endure Quincy and Erdene's teasing.

Meanwhile, Brian and Pinky have been trailing Gil, who gives them the slip when a gas pipe leaks.

We then see Gil return to his secret hideout, talking presumably to his wife... who is lying in a bag on the floor.

The next day, Lauren is getting dressed, using makeup to hide the marks left by Kieran. She descends the stairs to find an elaborate breakfast with Tristan eating.   

They engage in some banter, but then Tristan reveals his worry about Lauren.  

He asks if he can interfere in her restoration, but Lauren refuses, acknowledging her error and wanting no special treatment. She then leaves, after having eaten her sole blueberry of the season. Tristan gazes after her with a worried expression. Concerned uncle? Fishing spy? You decide!  

Lauren walks to work, ruminating about her and Kieran's discoveries and planning her next steps, without Kieran.  

Meanwhile, we see boxes being unloaded off a truck into a warehouse, and a scarred man talking to a woman smoking a cigar. They talk about their impending meeting at the Carmine Camellia on Friday, and how the Apostle is angry at the killings.  

While walking, Lauren overhears a lie about someone travelling overseas, catching her attention and causing her to glance at the liar. Turns out it is none other than the mysterious scarred man.   

Lauren pursues him until she finally reaches him, smashing his head into a wall. We have some flashbacks, and Lauren reveals the man's name: Tim Sake. He immediately gets on her good side by taunting her.

Kym and Will are in the office. Kym remembers their argument and makes a show of huffing and puffing. Lukas, enjoying the silence, offers to make coffee for everyone, shocking Will and Kym.   

Some time passes, and Will decides to approach Kym and put his hand on her shoulder. Wrong move. She does a one arm shoulder throw and then makes things even worse by slapping his cheeks. Out of concern, of course.   

It is at this point that Lukas returns and sees them in a compromised position.   

He calls them to Hermann's office, where he and March await. They discuss Lune and their identity, and Hermann then asks them to spy on their coworkers.   

Will and Kym try to advocate for Lauren to receive this mission, and Hermann rightfully says that she is too biased.  

Upon leaving, Will and Kym discuss this, and note that some of this is personal for Hermann.   

Will asks the question we've all been wondering: what if it is one of them? Kym has her suspicions but keeps quiet about them.

Sam is at the dog park, contemplating her recent interaction with Charles, in which, in short order, she thanked him for driving her home, noticed his hand was out of his pocket, rebuffed his offer to cancel the fencing lessons, laced her hand through his, pulled him close, AND..... slammed the door in his face.

Thanks, Sam. Blue balls for everyone.

She wonders whether she did the right thing while massaging her hurt hand (future plot point?), and wishes she could ask someone dating advice.

Lo and behold! Our beloved Monica appears. We discuss her recent transformation and current lack thereof.

We switch to the fencing club, where Charles is letting his frustration out on his students. Eva is watching, and tells him off for his anger. We speculate about the professional career comment and the extent to which Eva knows Charles' story.

While disrobing, she taunts him about being sexually deprived (seduction much?), and mentions a Dupont, leading to more speculation on our part.

The episode ends with a glare from Charles with chains behind him.

We open with Kieran standing in the cave, alone and stiff, finally expressing his emotion by screaming and punching the cave wall with such strength that pieces of it dislodge. He and Lauren have very similar reactions.

He goes to the river to peer at his hands, recollecting all of Lauren's accusations and an early kill, Chandelier Man. His memory of his choking Lauren is now tainted with blood, as is the reflection he sees in the mirror. Frustrated, he walks away.

We cut to Kieran walking through a poor neighborhood, with poorly dressed children huddled against the walls, begging for money. Reluctantly, he gives them a few coins, earning him praise from the children that no doubt cuts through his heart.

He opens the door to an abandoned church, strikingly beautiful but covered in cobwebs and vines and broken. 

He walks to a confessional, where momentarily his serious face fools us into thinking that he will break down, but no... He is meeting a Phantom Scythe messenger, with whom he speaks bitterly about his actions.

Kieran receives a new mission: to find and kill Lune, as well as something else that we are not privy to.

We see the aftermath of Lauren and Kieran's explosive encounter.  

Lauren crashes her way through the forest, reliving Kieran's words and actions, pausing at his last statement, a lie.   

She walks through the streets of Ardhalis, oblivious to the concerned stares she is getting by walking through the rain, soaked and scratched in her uniform. She is about to knock on Kym's door, with Kym looking cozy and safe in her warm home, but thinks better of it, and walks away.  

She goes to the police station gym instead, taking her anger out on the punching bag. Mixed in with her anger at Kieran is anger at herself, for going along with him, for thinking he was human, and for bein most upset about Anslow's death and the end of answers for her.  

Her bout with the bag tears open her stitches, a symbol of the unraveling of her and Kieran's relationship.   

She stops when she notices the blood on the bag, and lets herself fall to the floor, where she ruminates about the guilt that is always with her, a tear sliding down her cheek.  

Meanwhile, back at the house, uncle Tristan is examining Lauren's board, paying special attention to the picture with Sake in her parent's car.  

Sake himself is at the dock with Phantom Scythe papers, meeting Belladonna.

Lauren, never one to beat around the bush, yells at him and accuses him of his crimes. When Kieran once again brushes it off, Lauren grabs his shirt collar and screams in his face, then pushes him away and barrages him with accusatory questions, getting at the heart of her conflict with Kieran and his anger at himself. 

Kieran doesn't respond, his face somber. When Lauren keeps pushing him, he responds in kind, squirming his way out of Lauren's lie detector to put himself in the worse light possible. 

Lauren, in despair, rings out the questions that are in the depths of her heart and calls Kieran a monster.

This triggers Kieran, and flips the switch to where he does indeed, resemble the monster that Lauren called him. He leans into the description he doubtlessly calls himself and hates himself for, telling Lauren things about himself meant to distance her and make her hate him as much as possible.

All the while he is trapping Lauren with his arms, culminating in him choking her against a wall, while yelling that he is a monster.

His final statement is a lie, and it snaps him out of his rage.

He steps back, looking shocked, and turns away, unable to face what he has done.

But then he rallies, and coldly tells Lauren a partial truth - that she is only angry because he killed Anslow.

Lauren rightfully rebuts this, starts to defend herself, but then stalks out, knowing that argument is useless, and Kieran is left standing there alone.

Poppy recounts her VERY busy weekend to Erdene. It's hard to believe it all happened in one weekend! Erdene asks about Tora contacting her, but like the good friend she is, doesn't push it when Poppy doesn't have the energy to talk about it.

They look at Erdene's new makeup stash, while Poppy thinks about Gil being away for two days. SUS. Turns out Poppy has been feeling the susness too, and that was one of her motivations for looking for a part time job. She noticed it had to do with the notebook, and we wonder whether Poppy will figure out the notebook thing before Tora has the chance to tell her about it.

Poppy contemplates about what great friends Erdene and Jacob are, and notes, very relatably, that she has a hard time talking about difficult topics, and has also gotten into a cycle of conforming to people's expectations of her.

However, this self-perception is now changing, due to the presence of a very special someone who is currently walking into the office. A certain someone who is trying to now convince himself that he only has a "schoolboy crush." The audactity! The denial!

Quincy and Erdene head into a meeting, and Poppy, wanting to generously share her bento box, looks around for Tora, only to be pulled into a storage closet (storage closet!) by Tora, who, denial notwithstanding, admits that he misses her!

Meg and I got together to talk about a Webtoon we love.  

A Webtoons version of a rom-com, Act Like You Love Me is about a hard working girl, Ji-eon and the childish actor she meets, Doyun... who she can control with a stuffed doll.

Turns out, Ji-eon is not the only one with struggles, and she and Doyun may be able to both help each other.  

There are other side characters along the way, with lots of hilarious impossible situations and plenty of drama and tension.

We begin the episode with Sam confidently saying she would talk to Charles about a work lunch, and equally confidently refusing Umed's persuasions to join his Underwatch team.  

She walks in on Charles having a very frustrating conversation with a very entitled an infuriating customer. Sam gets enraged, plucks the phone out of Charles' hand, and proceeds to give the customer a proper dressing down.  

She needs some time to calm down, and Charles admires her passion.  

Continuing with her morning's boldness, Sam grabs Charles' hand and thanks him for his work for the company. Charles then proceeds to put his foot in his mouth, showing us where his thoughts wander.   

Sam, seemingly oblivious, asks Charles out. Charles is willing to blow all his commitments, but Sam takes a rain check, leaving a very flustered chibi Charles behind.
