I workout because I love my body.
The reason I take care of my body is not because of the things I don’t want, but because of the things I DO want. I sometimes can get that principle confused and get more into crisis fixing mode rather than being healthy mode. I don’t go on diets that always bring me back to where I started, I choose healthy living. I don’t wait until my blood pressure is sky rocketing, I choose to take care of myself before the negative health effects. I don’t wait until it’s too late, and then I’m overwhelmed to feel like I can do anything about it.
If you are past those points that feel like no return, don’t worry. There’s always something you can do to change. The reason change can SEEM hard is because we try to win the jackpot in one simple easy move, and doing that has been what’s got us here. Healthy is simple, it’s about small consistent actions every day. Start with one thing and choose to do something positive towards that change you want EVERY DAY. Once you master that, move onto something new WHILE still continuing that old habit you built up. Healthy isn’t a one time thing, it’s a life time thing.
I work out because I love my body, not because I DON’T love my body. Everything I do is out of love for me, not out of reaction because I don’t want something. My goals focus on what I want.
